Hate clicking on threads like this..... but does make people think twice about things so fair play for posting up to remind people that scum still and will lurk about.
Hope it is resolved quickly and anyone involved can move on.
 
Cheers guys hope they get caught too. The police have had no updates and nothing was on cctv around the area. Dull one like! :(
 
Il keep an eye out on for sale sights, parts will come up sooner or later, The lock up was probably targeted by someone who was there before? Maybe someone who came to buy parts? Happend to my dad before, he sold Subaru alloys and few hours later at night the people returned and toke everything luckily he had cameras and police found the parts. Hope use get parts back. Scum bags :(
 
Still nothing concrete and no leads. Probably long gone now. My mate and his dad still can't get over it. They ain't got a clue who it cldve been. They can't think of anyone dodgy being in th lock up

Just shows what can happen with tht skyline being nicked. Glad they got it back tho!!

Awful thing to say but why did they go for the heads in specific.

They obviously came prepared and knew what was there if they had the tools?

Also why did they take the heads had he mad cams in em or somethin?

Or mabey it was just someone that walked past one day an heard the cars starting :mad:

King sir defo not family members as just him and his dad. BUT another of my mates is leaning towards one of th victims supposed good mates. He says he knos of a dodgy history. To be fair it makes sense but I don't kno.

Nah head and engines were stock. But yea they defo had it all planned and knew exactly what they were doing. Gotta be someone with a mechanical knowledge and this supposed mate is a mechanic!

It's all a bit dodgy!!
 
Might start marking all my parts. So if this sort of thing happens I'll know what parts are mine.
Can put the word out that parts with a certain mark are stolen and to be reported to the police etc.
 
Would be a good idea that ^. I was thinking about this the other day actually after hearing about that r34 that got nicked. Was trying to pick my brain of something new that could be done to mark parts etc. Something along the lines of a 'QR' code that when scanned brings up the owners name. Obviously there are many flaws in that idea but just 'spit balling' if you will
 
Unfortunately it's getting increasingly risky to share our cars/builds etc online for fear of this sort of thing.
I think we are quite fortunate that the ek9s are more expensive than they look.
To most they are just a tarted up civic worth about £1500.
Although this didn't save the poor fella from having all his parts nicked.
Which again makes you think it was organised and so eone who knows these cars. Not an opportunist looking to score some crack.
 
Not so sure about that mate, with all these facebook pages coming up, it makes it easy for scum to see the price of things, if they keep their eye on the market and target stuff in demand. I just dont understand how people can behave in such a way. Its disgusting. Parents have definitely not done their job.
 
Jesse marking parts in a unique way would defo be a great idea whether it's done at factory or by owner.

Yea Bushell as was with that panorama programme a couple of weeks ago this day and age is all about social media and sharing everything and anything. Ok it's great and easy and fun but th downside is the minority that are out there hunting, researching, plotting and planning raids like the one on my mate and it's all TOO easy!

Easy for us to say police get out there and deal with it but it's like a needle in a haystack really as it's so rife now and the stuff just goes underground I bet!

When I think back I was stupid leaving my ek9 on my drive for 8 months with many expensive parts just lying in it. Luckily I was ok!!
 
Yeah, i try to be careful on social media. Keep myself to myself really. Only 3 people know where my 9 is over winter. Just a shame that it has to be like that though.

Seems to have escalated rapidly over the last year or 2 though.
 
Your doing the best thing mate. And yeah its gettin worse and worse. Not looking good for th future!!!
 
I don't post my car or parts on Facebook if I can help it.
Only a member of this forum aswell so hopefully that'll save me.
