Looking for insurance on my first car, currently own a 2001 Lupo 1.4, had a quote of £1400 for that fully comp.

Just shopping about at the minute to find a cheap car to run but I can't find any Hondas for insurance under £3000.. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Can anybody give me the name of any company's that might be a bit cheaper if possible.

I am 19 years old, 0 years no claims, 8 month held licence, live in a decent area with cheapish insurance & have 2 women as named drivers.

Thanks in advance :)

Dude, Honda's are generally more expensive to insure, I'm 19 with 1 year no claims and im looking at about £1800-2000 just for a 1.4 EJ9 :( with 0 no claims you might be able to get an EJ9 at about £2500, but no cheaper :/

Ahh, might look into keeping my little lupo then. Seems a good enough price. Can't afford £2500 like haha

Yeah, £1400 is cheap for 0 no claims, I paid £2100 for my works van with 0 no claims :/ hopefully going to get a honda next year though :)

Tbh the ncb doesn't make as much difference as amount of time driving, once you hit 3-4 years driving that's when it knocks down, I'm getting quotes of £890 just on comparison sites using 0ncb on an ek9 as a 2nd car and I'm 21

Best hold out and get some driving experience or just pay the price

Totally man, I'd just expect a 1.4 civic to be a little affordable aha

at 19, 2 years no claims I insured my ek9 for like 1400?

at 20 now its costs a grand.

look for anyone within the admiral group imo, Bell/elephant/

I'm insured at 19 with 20 months driving experience and 2 years NCB for £1770, thats fully comp, no claims protection and all mods declared including a B18 swap.

Just hunt around and ringing up i find is cheaper because you can haggle

Have a good look around and you can get it down,
Try compare sites and try tweaking it a bit without lying and see if you can bring it down.

Under a grand for an ek9 at 21 here with admiral.

When it comes up for renewal mate give us a try, Should be able to organise you a Decent quote (especially if you cover less than 7500 miles a year).

We can also cater for all modifications under our policies (like for like replacement) and offer track day cover at £45 per day.

Best Regards

You just need to get experience mate. I had a 2.0 turbo at 19. But been driving claim and point free since 17.
Can't wait till 24, magic number for insurance apparently.
