Hi I was just wondering has anyone used ta technix coilovers they are a cheap brand at 230.00euro?

I don't want to drop 800euro on a set of coilovers and the horrible sterling-euro exchange rate rules out buying from UK vendors anyway.

So ya anyone used them on an ek?

They have been widely used in the UK, by people wanting cheap lows.

If you want to lower your car cheaply, they are fine.

If you want a quality suspension system that will perform then you need to consider more expensive options.

It all depends on what you want them for.

As above, they are fine if your priority is to lower your car. However don't expect anything more for that price. If you are looking for something that will improve the stock car in terms of the chassis these simply won't.

I have fitted a couple of sets for people and the fitment has been ok but the quality isn't that good. I stand by the fact that you get what you pay for and if you buy cheap, then usually you buy twice. If you want a good set of coil overs but don't want to spend too much money then in my opinion you would be better getting a decent second hand / used set for only slightly more than the cheap options.

Iv had then for two years and since day one they done nothing but squeak Iv dismantled them a few times and greased them extra and no luck. There very uncomfortable. But I good way to lower a car. I wouldn't even consider them again to be honest as said I'd buy a good brand second hand

As above they are not great, I've not had any myself but my mate had some on an ej9 and the ride was horrible on bumpy roads and he kept on hitting the bump stops.

If I were you id save a little more and get a decent brand or get a set of used coilovers, there's a set of meisterR zetaR for sale on civiclife atm (I love my meisters). link below.

Thanks for replys I've been riding very low on cut lowering springs a for about 6months it has been hell and has busted shocks. I don't want to spend a fortune as its only an non VTEC civic coupe.

I'll have a think about and see does any second hand coilovers pop up.

I would wait for a decent set of second hand meisters to turn up or HSDs or something if you don't want the outlay new units.

They're trash basically, my mate had some on his and they were bumpy, crashy and squeak all the time, he changed them for a used set of Gazs I sold him, he hasn't looked back. You can pick up decent brands used for a little more, it's worth saving for or you'll hate your car after a while.

Meister
Gaz
HSD
Can all be had for slightly more if you find a good used set.

I've got a set of Cusco zero 2s I can sell you.
I'll want 350 for them but they are a quality coilover.

I have a set of HSD Dualtech coilovers which I bought brand new and are in really good condition.

Will be going up for sale at £320 delivered if interested PM me
