Hi guys.

Well, I have been here for a while now, but never started a thread about my car. I have owned it since 1. November 2009, so I have had some progress. I'll try to updated some of the major upgrades.

The car is a green 97' civic EK VTi(b16a2)

This is how the car looked when I bought it.

Then the first thing was to install a set of lowering springs:

Then I mounted some oz alleggerita and I was into polishing:

After this I crashed the car, on the rear side panel(?)

Got it fixed and repainted:

Installed some suspension parts:
Modus agile coilovers
Hardrace camber kit f/r
Hardrace toe kit
Asr 24mm bar and brace

Also tucked the engine bay;

Before

After

This is to 2012.

Sorry for bad English, it's not my first language :p

I had also engine swapped from b16a2 to jdm b18c- r because the cylinder wall were damaged when I bought the car, which of course didn't know when I bought the car. I got the new engine cheap.

So after this I attended my first trackday at Arctic circle raceway in Norway, Mo I Rana.
I didn't know at this time that from this point the cost for the car will reach sky high :p

After this I went to Rudskogen that same year.

After this trackday I stored my car for the winter.

In 2013 I went to autoX. The red civic was turbo charged, and after one round in that car, my plans for a turbo build started

I got hold of a new full-race kit with ramhorn, 3" dp and gt28rs turbo for a cheap money.

So in October 2013 I started to build turbo for first time. Never touched a turbocharge before this.
Bye bye NA engine:

All in fab tucked radiator

Oil pan

I also changed the headgasket to cometic to get the compression down a little bit and arp headstuds

And installed super tech valvespring

60 row Setrab oil cooler. I also have mishimoto thermostat.

I did a lot of other work:
Walbro 400lph fuel pump
Aem fuel rail and fpr
Act extreme pressure plate with street disc
ID 1000cc
And so on.

Catch can setup:

Street tires

Closed dump tube

Track rims and tires: Rota grid 17x8" et35 with RA1 235/40

Parts arrived in April and car is ready for them

A lot of gauges

Aem oil temp
Aem oil pressure
Aem boost pressure
Aem a/f
Aem egt
Aem water temperature

My brother is driving while I do the street tuning

Mfactory axles

Tein monosport coilovers with edfc active pro

At the dyno car put down 323whp and 314wnm at 0.7bar

So after this I stored the car for the Winter.

For the next seasong the cooling system was top priority. The cooling system only held about 2-3 hot laps(3.3km each lap), and that wasn't enough for me.

So I ordered a mishimoto X-line full-size radiator for integra.

Christmas came, and I started working on the on my father's work.

Old vs new

Unfortunatly it wasn't enough space...

so...

this happened :p

Also had to get rid of the hood latch or what ever you call it

Mock-up how I want it

Got made some mount on the traction bar

A buddy of mine welded it up

The product

Some close up of the mounts

I got a good deal for a garrett GTX2867r, so I decided to swap out my GT28rs

GTX on the top

Little bit tricky to get the compressor out from the turbine housing after some use

Finnaly

New turbo ready for install

Everything mounted up

Since I had to get rid the oem hood latch, I ordered aerocatch 120 plus.

Started with drilling

Mounted and adjusted

good going, crazy what happened with the wheels!!

Yeah, those wheels shocked me... I got two new for replacement, but I'm unsure if I dare to run them agian :p

Very nice dude!
Thanks :)

More picture:

Changed out my 26mm oem bar for whiteline 27mm bar

The 3" Thermal was too loud for me, so I added a vibrant ultra quiet resonator instead for a test pipe

I also have another vibrant resonator further back in the system, so the car is nice and quiet for now.

I do like good audio in my car, since I drive it almost every day in the summer

Gladen zero pro 165.2 PP

A lot of weight her.

The complete audiosystem:
Gladen Zero pro 165.2PP
Pioneer DEH-80prs
Mosconi 200.2 AS
Gladen sql 12" i Gladen kasse
Gladen SPL1800C1

Since my motor is relative i added aem water methanole injection system

Yeah, I do also run Hondata traction control. It does a great job right of the box. Haven't been playing around with it since I'm pretty busy street tuning my engine.

My new trackday wheels and tires, Japanracing JR5 17x8.5 et35 4x100 Toyo R888R 235/40

Thanks man :)

So for support the power and trackday driving the brakes needed upgrading. In 2014 I got hold of a cheap Baer 2 pot 330x28 brakes.

From 262mm

To 330mm

The weight was very low

I also paired it with a set of carbotech xp20 brake pads

Other then from a lot of noice and brake dust, the performance was very good. Bit was extremely aggressive, yet easy to modulate.

Unfortunately the disc weren't hub centric and the rebore of 4x100 was to big, so it gave a lot vibration over 120km/t, and even more on braking.

So this year I decided to order up a Ceika big brake kit. I wanted to try them since the customers service was great and a lot of options when ordering the kit.

I choose:
Large 6 pot
330x32mm
Full-float disc
Stainless steel Pistons
Painted gold

From ordering to I received it took only 14 working days, that with free shipping to Norway.

31kg monster package :p

Calipers. 0.5liter bottle

The whole kit was very easy to mount, so it took only less then 2 hours.

Cleared my oz rims

One side done

My track rims didn't clear it, so I have ordered h&r 5mm spacers

Well, I'm very satisfied for now. The pedal feel is very good and solid. Easy to mount and work great. I'll be attending a trackday 30th July at Arctic circle raceway and will then see how the brakes are holding up. So far I'm very impressed

We have the same turbo! Mines making 1 bar of boost at 4k rpm!
What sort of boost you hoping to run on the b18c with a thicker headgasket?

Cool. I do hit 1 bar of boost around 4k rpm with load(4th or 5th gear).
I'm currently running around 1.25-1.3bar with 12 degrees of timing. I have som boost issues I have to sort out first. It does spool up, but suddenly on high rpm it just goes down to around 2 psi.

how much timing are you running on your setup? i'm still reading your thread, I'm at page 18 :p

That's a lot of boost on stock pistons?
I've had my timing real low due to a tps issue leaning the fuel out.
Iirc atm it's 14degrees at 1 bar

Yeah, it's a lot of boost, but I do run very low timing and I do keep an eye on both IAT and EGT. Cause of the of the water/methanole injection it's pretty low. I will be keep pushing timing when I have fixed the boost issues.

Your boost issues seem waste gate related to me.

Yeah, I also thought that, but I went through all of my clamps, hose and changed o-ring on my bov(had a small damage), and it seems like it's working now. I was boosting 1.4bar without any problem, but since it was raining my TC did kick in almost the whole time. Will test it again when the road drys up.

Great build thread! I suppose with a turbo and the power you are making the weight of the stereo equipment doesn't matter haha

I'd be careful pushing the timing on it on stock pistons.
