Before I bought my 9 I wasnt sure about unwanted attention, yesterday I found 3 sachets of burger king mayo & 2 sachets of tomato sauce by the car, the contents were all over the car, looked like a dalmation! What have you found on yours?

Anyhow what do people use to keep the white, championship white? I normally clean the 9 once a week but after yesterday it has patches of grey, & grey streaks on the paint, any suggestions? I dont want to spend 6 hours with a pc polisher & a clay bar..

The grey streaks you see are not on the paint!! It means that all the layers of the paint were removed and you see the "bone" of the car! :nerv: Make sure you cover the streakes BEFORE they oxidize.
Have you used compound several times before to cover any streakes?? Everytime you use the compound you make your paint thinner and less shiny. Btw, whenever I wash my car I use a shampoo/wax and in this way not only is shiny but also the dust cannot sit on the paint cuz it slides :)

Only ever used shampoo with wax in it m8, seems like grey watermarks. I had some oil & tar remover which I tried on some of the 'watermarks' and it comes off while not harming the paint. Just curious as to what other people use.

When I realise that my champ white paint is getting bald in some spots or if it is scratched or is dirty and cannot be cleaned with soap/wax, then I either use the polish and if this doesn't work then I use the compound and everything is restored! :nice:

one time i found a stack of bricks near my car , in usa people steal your rims and leave the car on bricks, so im guessing maybe they didnt have time to finish the job!

the first day i got my car back from paint i drove through a swarm of bees and they exploded all over my fresh paint!! honey was everywhere!! :angry2:

lmao ^^ the bees part =P

worse part is in the 6 years ive been driving i have NEVER hit ANY bugs that was the first and ONLY TIME!!! i was so mad, cause right before i left the paint shop the guy said to be very careful and NOT to wash the car for a week or two and then to be very gentle :angry2:

Bees! lol, Front of mine is covered in dried bugs. What is this compound Manos? Im hoping they dont move from mayo to bricks anyway eh. :D

Hmm. I know the door of my car was keyed, but I never find condiments on the car. The door has been repainted since.

Blinx did you somehow hit a bees nest? Or did you hit the bees and they had honey inside them?

As for hitting bugs, they're all over where I live, I just pulled 2 large dragon flies out of my lower grill.

hahaha good thread I've found:

Japanese news papers, japanese weird gloves, japanese pens, ear rings and some strange japanese baby powder bottle hahahahaha

also a french fry solid as a rock

Bees, bugs, even small lizards  I find stuck on my front bumper!
My worst nightmare(I hope you won't experience this EVER) happened once, one year ago. I was driving in the highway road, and actually, I was forced to drive at constant speed behind a truck full of sand and small rocks and there were cars on left and right so I couldn't overtake it. The truck had a cover(cloth) which was supposed to keep the rocks in the cabin, but I ATE THEM ALL!!! The cloth was flying to the air because of high speed! When I got off the car as soon as I went home, I realized that several pieces of paint were lost (of 0.5 - 1 cm) and I had to repaint the bumper and the bonnet
haitch, compound usage goes like this: You apply it on permanent dirt or scratches, you dissolve it by circular motion like the polish (don't put too much pressure cuz you ruin your paint!!) and in this way it melts some paint to cover the streaks or to remove the dirt which you could not remove with regular car wash. After the compound is dissolved completely (don't use too much) the paint looses its shininess and you have to use a polish to restore it.
Note: Compound is not polish, usually it can irritate your eyes and skin cuz it contains material to melt the paint

Got some Turtle wax - colour magic plus, tried it on the spoiler only today, seems to do the job, will try the rest when I get time.

Found nothing as yet apart from the dead bugs, to scared to park it anywhere out of sight! :nerv:
