Thinking of saying bye to my ek9 already...

Only had it 3 months, spent a fair bit onit and got alot of parts sitting in my room for it. But im thinking of getting a SEAT LEON CUPRA K1 - my 1st non japanese car!! :wow:

I need to make the decision up by tonight as tommorrow i was going to be fitting loads of parts to the ek9, but i might just sell them...


Hmmmmmmm. Opinions on K1's?
 
I don't know man them things are a right funny shape
And pricey 4 what your getting.
On the over hand there Rapid. Lol ;)
 
Just feel like im getting old (23 in april) and i should be driving something more mature... :( lol
 
Have you drove one man??I was in the same situation last year with a mark5 gti but the minute I drove it I just wanted my ek9 back.They are just boring to drive and feel a bit detached, in my opinion.
 
The interior is shocking aswell! Stick to the ek9!

I know what your saying mate....then I went wild and stripped my civic, bought a cage and generally went a bit crackers

This is after I spent about 3 weeks going from dealer to dealer looking for newer cars but nothing quite gave ne the buzz, the raw/rattly/fun feeling I get in the Civic
 
get a mk1 leon cupra r, cheaper and so much nicer! my mates.....
its on air ride and full interior retrim by plush...awesome car

Much faster than a std 9, but don't expect much driver involvement.
I would have one if I didn't do track days
 
I sold my EK9 late last year, also bought a high spec (for the added luxury) MK5 Golf GTI while the 9 was up for sale. To this day I still miss my 9. So much more raw, engine is a gem. Also felt like a go kart compared to the golf. On the plus side the golf does have much better steering feel and is a lot more comfy. Not sure about k1 cupras but am sure ud prob end up regretting it. Y not buy a daily and use the 9 less. Would make u appreciate it a lot more
 
Wow, more mature car? An EK9 aint immature, maybe some of the mods ive seen fowks do make them look like teenage boy racers but that can happen with any car.

And a leon is more like, unreliable, lumbersome, numb, boring VAG, doesnt get a second look, common car (in comparison to an EK9).

My mates Cupra R was mapped and was almost as quick as my EK4 with B18C6.

I think it's just because it's the winter, you get bored because you can't push your civic in this weather and you fancy something comfy, but then the spring/summer will come back in and I guarantee you will regret selling it

I know what you mean! im 23 in april too :( but i see it as, you can have a more mature car when your older! I love my civic an the way it feels and and drives.

23 isnt old! your still fresh!
