Too change or not too change

I removed my eyes, from their sockets, when I seen 'diesel BMW'…

Keep the EK9.

I'm not going to be one of those who'll dismiss a diesel BMW right away. It is obviously a very different car from the EK9 - RWD, much more torque, much more refined.... They can be fun, but in a different kind of way. I must say I wouldn't mind one as a daily - alongside my EK9 tho, not as a replacement.

+1

I have a 335d as a daily at the moment and having had an EK9 in the past can safely say you would miss the nimbleness in the corners amongst other things, and of course the vtec crossover! As a cruiser the BMW is great, but unless your in an M car the chassis won't be very rewarding, and I find it can feel very heavy (Because it is, nearly 2000kg!) Having said that the straight line speed & acceleration when overtaking is probably all you'll ever need on UK roads, especially with a remap to 352hp / 520lb-ft ;)

I sold my EK9 and bought a 313 350z, best decision I've made personally, don't know about the BMW mind you as said above I would only ever get an M series BMW, the chassis on non M car's I feel are a bit soft and unrewarding.

If it's for cruising about in and bigger miles then yeah go for the BMW but if it's a replacement for the ek9 and to have fun in then don't bother, personally I find diesels boring to drive

Lol, I think you need to figure out what you want from the car and base your choice on that! Do you want it to be powerful? Revvy? Comfy? Good MPG? Cheap(ish) to run? There are loads of other questions, or if you just want a change then go and buy whatever takes your fancy, you can always sell on if you don't like it.
