Changed them over for new ones filled with Tigerseal.

The passenger one came off no problem, but was very perished & wobbled about like a flaccid cock in a running race & the drivers side one came out in 2 pieces.

If you've not looked/changed these things already, I suggest you do!!

Gear change is greatly improved & no more throttle on/off jerking. :nice:

Just swapped all my mounts with new OEM versions.

Amazing difference, Had the same issue with both torque mounts and rear lower was broke too.

Although the previous owner of the car has spent a good amount of money on mods (and nice ones also), I genuinely believe that more people should replace OEM items before they buy exhaust, ECU's etc.

I've got a big box of other bits to change too, RTA bushes + drop links etc.

Makes a big difference refreshing parts that are worn (15 years old!)

Preach it brother! No one can see you've just spent £££ on new bushes, but a shiny new tow hook, or red wheel nuts - now that's a worthwhile investment! Who cares that the handling is **** if it looks the part! LOL

:nice:nice one mate, im just waiting on getting time to get my new ones fitted, glad to hear they make the difference! might try this tigerseal trick as well, although i may wait to see how you get on with them first.

i done the tigerseal trick to mine ages ago, works really well but causes horrific cabin vibration, which dosnt bother me but some people would find this unbearable,

You could try filling them with sikaflex instead, as it is a lot softer. Tigerseal is polyurethane, so it will obviously make the mounts a lot harder.

Tbh if the car is going to the track I'd much prefer a set of billet mounts does away with torque mounts and personally even for a road car it's the route I'd go instead of oem replacements there not that expensive makes a massive difference and tidy the bay that little more aswell win,win :)

Hardrace kit is another good option as the kit comes with torque mounts and not too stiff.

Had them on car years.

I agree that billet mounts are the way to go, IF you want to spend the cash. I didn't so tigerseal it was!

^^ this.

I removed mine completly when I brought billet mounts.

Tegiwa sell them for £30 a side, tube of TS is £6 - done!

The cabin vibration isn't bad at all & it's only on idle. Plus all your lady friends will be queueing up for a ride in the vibro-recaro.

Also, I don't see the point in getting rid of the torque mounts, if you remove them then you're just going to put more strain on the rear mount (poly or not).

Well worth TS filling them as they're pretty lame even when they are new.
