Honda Integra Type R DC5, Honda Civic EJ9
Yeah I know it's not an EK9 but read on and let me know if my project is worthy...

At weekend I went and paid scrap value for a EJ9 Civic as a little project with my missus; she joined me at the beginning of the year at Japfest in the passenger seat around Silverstone, she wanted to have a car for a play on the track and also learn to build a track car...

She didn't want to race around the track in her Seat Ibiza (who can blame her) and I didn't want her racing around in my DC5 (who can blame me) so that's where the EJ9 Civic comes in...

So onto the car, it's a bit rough I know;

Dragged onto the back because no runner due to no life in the battery and drums seized due to handbrake being left on for a year...

And it runs!! Sounded rougher in person as I think may be a whole in exhaust somewhere

So plan up to now;
>full service on current D14 engine
>Coilovers, camber adjusters, control arms and other suspension bits
>disc and pads on front and shoes and drums on back
> oh and most important, new windowscreen
>full interior strip out

Plans for distant future;
>B18C4 or C6 engine conversion

I love little projects like these! Ditch the aircon as well, it's quite heavy and in front of the front axle mostly. I just got a new windscreen for my EK9, 80 quid from a local supplier, plus 30 if you are bothered about the molding (I didn't bother - it's just a track car anyway).

Since last update, we've now come up with a name for the EJ9 and my missus came up with Lola, I just agree'd...

So onto the may be the more interesting part of the update, the progress. What an actual job of getting Lola up and off the ground and onto axel stands, let's put it this way it took longer than it should of...
