SSB EK4 kanjo inspired

Cheers for the shout mate appreciate it! :) looking good, can't wait to see it in and running :nice:

Quick update. Decided not to drop the engine in just yet, thought while I have it out I'll take the time to clean the block, box, maybe polish the manifold I have and replace what studs and nuts I can so they look just as shiny! It's gonna be one of those builds... :))

Also little picture of the manifold and shift linkage I got the other day. Can't see the manifold well but it's a Fujitsubo 2.5" 4-2-1 (more on that when I come to polish it)

Bit of an update on this;

Was wondering whether or not to take the heaters out and decided it'd be a good idea to do so.
Didn't take too long as the dash itself wasn't bolted in, just had the frame to deal with (what's left of it lol)

Started off like this, nothing out of the ordinary.

Ended up having to take the dash off for more room but didn't take too long, although ran out of daylight.

And here's it now, much better personally, paint will get touched up at some point after the new year.
There is a few loose wires because I don't have an engine harness to plug them into but until then this will do.

All comments and criticism welcome:nice:

Not a lot going on, replaced the clutch release bearing, tail light gaskets and bought a radio block off plate.

Taking the steering rack out in the next few days and stripping it down to proper manual then putting engine in when I get good weather and a full day free

Ok so finally some real progress, B18 went in the other day!

Mate gave me a hand, was a struggle as the hoist I hired had issues and barely lifted the engine high enough but we got it in eventually...

I do still need to put the manifold on, gear linkage, all ancillaries and then replace fluids, gaskets and linkage bushes.
Also have an OBD2B engine loom on the way so much excitement :))

Nice! some progress :nice: getting there mate. Good idea to change gaskets etc while you're there, may as well while got the chance to clean it up

Thanks bud :) and that's exactly my thoughts. Don't cost much or take long, just waiting for all the parts to arrive.

Slowly getting all the pieces back on, gear linkage is in now with some Energy Suspension poly bushes. Also bought a new B pin and clip to make sure there is zero play :nice:

Feels smooth but tight, even more excited to get it running!

Right, need to pull my finger out haha.
Weather doesn't seem as bad here so the build will speed up a bit!

Got the engine harness pretty much in, just on the lookout for a cheap intake manifold with TB for now.
Have a load of parts on the way quite excited to get them on...

Also proper ABS removal is happening and going with a braided inline filter setup, this should tidy the bay up nicely and remove the clutter near firewall.
