SSB EK4 kanjo inspired

just read this whole thread, such a shame about that first civic after all the work that went into saving it, but your new build is looking sweet! SSB is such a good colour in person, i don't think pictures ever do the colour justice
Cheers man. Had a lot planned for that EJ9... Got lucky when I was offered the EK4 I have now as I can still carry on with the plans haha.
And the colour is amazing in person bud, so underrated.

Finished part of my oil catch can setup off.

Using a genuine vented D1 Spec oil catch can with 2 stainless steel braided lines coated in black nylon for a sleek look.

Are the unions for the breathers tapped into the rocker or welded from inside?

Looks a clean job either way!

Appreciate it man! I believe they're just tapped in. I'll have the cover off soon as I'm replacing the hardware so will know for sure then

Definitely man, I've just put a set on mine. Need to get a new plug cover though.. ive got a cheap carbon mould and the way the tabs have been made the larger washers on the new kit can't sit flush. Nice and easy to change though.

What colour you going for? I wanted black but they were out of stock so just got silver ones, although it keeps it more OEM-ish I guess :)

@ColbyCol yeah just a cosmetic thing really, need to get a plug cover myself as I don't have one at the moment.

Same mate, looked at getting black but since I've got silver low profile hardware on the wings, lights etc. it just kinda fits in and looks clean :nice:

If anyone's following still since I had my EJ9 you may remember the Mugen RNR's I bought, well I still have them and they still don't have tyres on yet...

Anyhow I tested them out on the EK4 for the first time...

Will soon get round to buying some tyres most likely 195/50 square as the Mugens are just 6.5 wide

Never did like any if the Mugen wheels but i've now come to appreciate them a lot more.

@that_civic always liked them myself man, just feel the designs are timeless and look so good on the right car

Nothing really been going on so far other than trying out tyre stencils, finally got the perfect one made...

More bits to do soon so stay tuned haha :naughty:

Thanks mate, appreciate it. If I see one I'll let you know.
And I printed off the logo then traced around it using mylar sheets as a stencil man, it's a little rough but works for now haha
