turbo camshafts ??


Yeah would be interesting to see, I think the head setup is making the power delivery harder for me to understand.
I'd be changing the head if it where mine.
 
Change the cams, Pro 1's aren't going to work well on that setup even if you degree them so to reduce some of the overlap.

In that case 100% the OP needs to change cams.

@OP, did you not go over your setup with the tuner prior to your mapping appointment?
 
Sell the head, put cash towards forged build.

Yea i spoke to them Tey mapped it na 5 months ago but injectors were maxing out n the cams were on stock timing still made 220 bhp n 150 ft/lb then
They know the setup worked on it a few times just never dialed the cams as they wanted engine out do it really
 
Haha easier said than done got alot of money in the head now how much would a b16b head go for ??
 
Absolutely no need to take a engine out to degree camshafts.

Cant understand why you weren't advised that those cams would not work with your turbo setup. Car didn't need to go on Dyno to find that out!

It shouldn't be a big deal to swap back to OEM honda cams, you can keep the Pro series spring and retainers.

Thought you said you still had vtec at 8k and its 290hp with hp climbing all the way to redline? Peak hp on your graph is 280 at 7800rpm, you got another 800rpm to go yet before stock b18c Rev limit.
Cams not helping that most likely if your not using vtec. Do well to get that high without vtec tbf.
 
Your losing 50hp from 8k-8800rpm, Defo not rising to redline!
I'm guessing if you change the cams your going to lose abit of low end torque but you'll gain 800rpm of usable power up top because you can use vtec.
 
That was the printout on low cam sorry I should of explained mate the option cover over was 8k so it was still climbing then by the time the high lift comes in the was only 1k left so it was wanting to climb still if that makes sense and it was in the end 290 bhp

Yea i get ya so what would you do then ?? He said in the end vtec comes in at 8k but their ain't much point because it's only just going over to high lift near the end it was wanting to keep make power past red line if thst makes sense mate all that on the graph was from the small lift
