Just ordered my turbo setup guys! :secret:

Just getting a list of extra bits together to make sure I got everything covered.

On its way

Bottom mount Vband PTE IN/OUT manifold
Precision 55/58 JB turbo
3inch vband downpipe and tube
Turbosmart 45mm gate
Turbosmart 50mm BOV
Turbo oil feed/return line kit
550hp FMIC 2.5 hot pipe w/ 3inch cold piping
couplers and Tbolts
b series id1000s with pigtails
P28 ECU with Hondata Boost ready S300
OBD2-A to OBD1 jumper harness

I'll be running this on my low mileage stock interal B16a2 whilst building a B18 over summer.

I need advice on the following

Should I run ARP headstuds, at what point does head lift become a problem? If I do replace the headstuds should I skim the block/head as a precaution to make sure all is level?

Anything else I should consider guys apart from the usual e.g wideband, gauges etc.

Bring on summer :drive:

On my old turbo setup(td05-16g) the head started to lift at 1bar. Anything below this I didn't have any issues. I've mapped a good few turbo stock block b16's which would be running .6-.8bar, no head lifting issues. What kind of power are you looking to make on the b16?

Obviously fit some ARP head studs on your b18 build.

As for gauges, i'd recommend boost, oil press, oil temp and maybe water temp.

yes mate defo skim the head to ensure a good seal, for all it costs not worth having to pull it back off if it lifed/didnt seal properly

Anything around 280-320hp is my goal for the stock B16 which I understand is easily achievable.. I'm thinking headgasket + ARP headstuds would be a good investment.

Got my oil temp gauge just deciding on which boost/wideband/pressure combo to go for.

Excellent news! When are you hoping to have it fitted?

Will be fitting it slowly over a week or so once it arrives. Will hopefully be done and tuned before Easter, but we know how these things go.

Certainly do. If something can go wrong it will.
I've got plenty of spares for you! Lol

300bhp would be no problem. With the turbo you are getting it shouldn't take much boost to hit that power

Yeah I went this route to allow flexibility. This way Ill be able to run more power through the same setup with the built b18 when the time comes. Until that time, I'll still be able to enjoy the kit and get my first taste of boost!

Nice one mate, who are you planning on using for your tuning?

Hoping to get in touch with Romain. Either that or TDi North but unsure on their reputation with boosted B-series. I'm based near Chester.

Tdi are good, they tuned scottek boosted 9! I'm also near Chester 'when' mines back out ill show what boosted b's are about :)

Would be awesome to meet up some night pal. Got ALOT of plans for the Ek this summer. Will most likely be using TDi North as they're so close and are mapping a lot of boosted K20's etc. Boost ftw

I chose ID 750s for my build. Similar power to yours
