So I finally found a late example Championship White '9, and made the 4 hour train journey to go and view the car. This Type R was brought into the country by Tegiwa Imports in 2007 and has had two enthusiast owners, it's condition really is outstanding. After deciding to buy the car i made the most of the 3 hour drive home, in awe that I finally own an EK9! It was an easy decision to make with the car having a folder full of receipts and service history at Honda, no expense has been spared to keep it OEM

My love for Honda's started many years ago when a buddy Jimbob did a B16A2 swap on an EK, i was staggered at the pace and agility of the car and shared many laughs being in and around it. I knew the EK9 was the pinnacle of Civic's and hoped that one day i'd get behind the wheel of one. I've had many fast cars in the past, I've owned all three MX5's including a 2011 RHT, 2009 RX8 and still own a 1991 RX7 FC3S, but the EK9 strikes the balance between being quick and not breaking the bank. Anyway here's a few photo's to show you how she looks

I detailed the car as soon as I got it, took two days but during that time I did an entire body clay bar treatment with Autoglym detailer spray. The arches are immaculate, so much so that i even clay barred each arch individually. Then I did an Autoglym HD Cleanse, and HD Wax protect the body. It's creating some awesome beading in the rain! I've also taken the Type R mats in the shower and fully Autoglym shampoo'ed them, they're in excellent condition. Also shampoo'ed the Recaro's, rear seats and headliner so the whole car is smelling really fresh at the moment

In the next few days I'll post pictures of the SpoonSports products i've fitted to the car, the aim is to just do subtle things to make it my own, and living 10minutes from Snetterton perhaps the odd track day is on the cards..Enjoy!
