Can anyone tell me where does this (red) vacuum line goes? Type R engine with OEM manifold is in ED9 chasie. I was testing new setup and (year after I swap engine) I noticed strange sound. So I checked it out ans saw that this is open hole. What was it for anyway? Did EK9 have cruise control?

To the evap (charcoal) cannister that purges the fumes out of your fuel tank :nice: this pipe goes to top of cannister and thicker pipe goes to throttle-body.

EK9s dont have cruise control.

Bro, thanks
I was confused because in B16A vacuum diagram I found that they join fuel pressure vacuum line and this into Y piece and then to the Presure cut of switch. I have this presure cat of valve but it is from CRX.

I have removed all evaporation parts, even OEM fuel tank, so there will be no harm just to close this hole?

yes it will be fine, the evap cannister was introduced when it became regulation not to vent the fumes to the atmosphere since more vapours are developed when the car has been runing and warm fuel from the rail returned to the tank.:nice:
