Right,

I've got a set of Volk TE37 15's and i'm thinking of getting them powdercoated.

At the moment there original (White) and to be honest they are completly mint which is why im slightly reluctant to get them done but just asking for everyones valued opinions!

I'm thinking of getting them done Purple, Oh also they will be going on a White 9. :D

Example of the kind of colour is in this picture:

I do like this colour the more i think about it!

Oo just had a google search on what a root beer style colour would look like, bet it would look nice :D. It's a hard decision! hehe. Got lots of time to decide though.

Me like, you should check the blue version also

That purple is mint :D

Really different and looks brilliant; I don't know what they would look like on a white 9 but on that yellow there looking good. I've always thought green TE's and white 9's look good.

**Edit** I agree with rvm ;) haha

This is a must color you should check!

I really like that colour, I've got a BW Tow Hook in purple which was the only reason i was swaying towards purple, But thinking of it i could just get the tow hook powdercoated at the same time!

I think maybe the blue may suit a white 9 better. Not sure....

I wouldn't be getting lightweight allots powdercoated, especially if they company doing it cant gaurantee the temperature at which they will be done at.
Lightweight alloys are essentially work hardened so they can be stronger with less material. Thus when you heat them to a certain temperature you effectively remove this work hardening process and the metal will loose its strength! Leaving you with a wheel that could break and fail at any time!?!

Just something to note.

Dont do mag blue in 15" they dont look right...check out ek9 cubs old ek to see

each to their own opinion,
but i don't like spraying the likes of te37's or other rare parts or cars different from original, especially if they're in mint condition as u said,
same as i would hate to spray an ek9 different from its original colour,
and i think the bronze te37's are nicest imo see can u swap for a set of them maybe?

That Mag blue is an amazing colour, good luck trying to match it though as no one likes to say what the code is!

Ooo intresting what you say about the wheels becoming weak. I did hear something about that a while ago but i just didnt really note it!

If thats true i might think twice!!

I might just look at getting them sprayed instead, If it's just powder coating that can effect them.

powder coating is fine so as long as its done properly. I've heard of people melting the factory coating on their wheels during races and track days so imagine how hot high performance wheels are assumed to get.
