VSM EK9 K20 Turbo Project

Wow thats some wild fezzy mate, wasnt expecting that! Car looks awesome, glad your getting good use from the lip :nice:

Aye yours looked well! I had a few little issues on the day that I'm hoping to get sorted before the next one. Back there on the 23rd August!

Will do blyton again at some point was right at the noise limit point of 94.7 lol, may see you at a track again in the future.

I was black flagged for noise during the first session! Had to run a baffle for the rest of the day. It works well, knocks a lot of noise off, but also strangles the engine and kills a lot of power

yeah I didn't get black flagged but after the 1st run out was warned I was close too the limit, I did have a baffle too put in just incase I needed too but got away with it, yeah baffles aint great and as you say u end up losing power cause of them, my mate was in the grey evo 7, he got black flagged twice in the end, luckily it was right near the end of the day lol.

Had some front camber arms delivered today.

Hoping to take it in for corner weighing and a different geo setup next week

Hi mate. How much did you get these for? I have a set for sale brand new but nobody seems to want it. I've had it up for 100 quid

Poor design on them. However sturdy they maybe, They didn't think about the arm hitting the turret if lowered a touch. Compare them to oem you'll see.
I'm not even lowered much and it can make contact on rough roads.
I'm going to replace mine with skunk2s soon. Their other products are good though.

I see. No wonder why no body wants them! I'm quite glad I didn't get round to fitting mine then!

Either you haven't fitted them correctly or they've had a redesign.

Just fitted them this afternoon and can tell you there is no way for them to catch the turret at all - cycled through its full movement without the shock attached and there is no contact anywhere. The first thing to make contact is the top of the ball joint on the underside of the strut top, but once the shock is attached, there is no chance of it ever moving that far!

Also compared to oem, there is very little difference in the footprint.

I also ran the same arms on my ek track car and didnt have any contact issues

They can only fit one way. This is on a dc2 mind you, James on here with a black uk teg had the same issue as did my mate. Hardrace were aware of the design flaw and sent him their new "redesigned" set but according to him they looked identical to the ones he removed. Think he Opted for eibach in the end.
Mine ain't even low and it can still catch sometimes on a rough road.

Picked up some Clockwise Motion sump baffles tonight from Jay at Finsport - top fella! Will hopefully be getting the car down to him at some point before the next track outing to have it corner weighted. Got a sexy carbon Tillett seat to fit before then though!

Aforementioned Tillett seat:

Love it! Stunning to look at, along with being very comfortable and supportive.

Seat and harness combo looks good man! It's hard to believe the seat is comfy:nerv:
