since my car is off road since last sunday and is rite off i was thinking about the one of the two above but relly dont know what would be best any ideas?:thanks:

i got ek4 SIR with B16a.
Upgrade 2.5 full mugen twinloop .car run 176bhp on flywheel..

I'd prefer the sir I've had a ek4 and a sir, sir wins hands down plus is a piece of jdm history, plus a sir 9/10 would be a lot cleaner then a ek4 as it hasn't spent it's whole life on salty roads.

Which ever is cleaner go with theyd make same power basically with a full 2.5 system and remap

Sir-B16A
Vti-B16a2
Different is ECU and and exhaust system.

Plus intake cam has slight more duration and the pistons are domed slightly more giving 10.4:1 instead of 10.2:1 on the A2.

Generaly from what I have heard b16a's generaly reach their stated 170ps were as the b16a2 seem to be lucky to see their factor 160ps. Weather thats down to what life they have had since factory or what.

But doubt its worth the extra insurance to have an import if your not to bothered.

Prity sure the exhaust is actualy the same. The SiR will have the jap style shorter Cat and longer center section to suit but as for diameter and such I would say they are the same.
