just bought a s80 lsd 4.7 final drive for my b16a and was wondering what clutch and flywheel should i put in it?

You don't need to update unless the tq is 140 plus.
My engine is 230hp and 150ft lb as was on the limit, don't waste your Money.

If you are staying naturally aspirated it really is hard to beat Honda Oem and Fidanza

We carry both in stock

Definitally OEM Honda 100%

I have used exeedy etc and had problems. I then started using OEM dc2 Honda clutch kits in my ek9 and vti racecar on the track and with all the abuse the clutch gets on the track OEM Honda has never let me down. A lot of other race teams also use OEM Honda clutch kits in n/a cars

Oem clutch and Toda flywheel, I ran this setup for 10's thousands of miles and loved it :)

excedy stage 2 3 puck clutch and fidanza flywheel
hard to bet if you do a good bit of drag racing

I bought the Exedy Stage 1 Clutch and Competition Clutch Ultralight Flywheel. I was going to go for the OEM clutch but some owners commented that it started to slip after a hard day on the track.

In hindsight I'd go OEM after how much more time it spend in traffic, it's a PITA to get used to, but when you're in the moment it's brutal which I like. :nice:

Sorry but that information about oem clutch slipping on the track is b*llocks, I had my b16 civic on the track with a used 100k mile OEM Honda clutch and it didn't even show any sign of fading with hard 15min track sessions. I have also used OEM Honda Type-R clutches on my old DC2 and EK9 on the tracks loads of times and thousands of road miles and never any issues!

I had an exceedy stage 1 clutch on my DC2 and after 1 trackday it fell apart :angry2:

Now running OEM Honda dc2 clutch kit and toda flywheel on my ek4 track car and its the best setup yet :D

As I said it was just a few comments, for the negligible price difference I opted for the up-rated one. I'd also say you were caught out with a fake if it fell apart after a track day. I got mine from Eight Speed, great price and service.

Utter rubbish! I have tracked my OEM clutch with countless launches and many many trips and laps to and around the ring! No problem what so ever!

They are built to last and the type r's are built for track as standard!

If you are wrecking OEM clutches time to look at your driving style.

the best clutch and flywheel for what application?

for road use id stay with oem and maybe a good chromoly flywheel

however if you want something silly for racing...ORC super single kit is rather fun
