Hi there..

i ran into another ek9 enthusiest the other day and we had a general chat about our cars.. he showed me his engine and i saw that he was running a B16B SP compared to my standard B16B.. ofcourse i didn't want to be embarrassed by asking him what the difference was.. so could somebody please help me out?..

WTF?! this is the first time i have ever heard of an SP, are you sure it isn't just a sticker slapped on the valve cover so he can brag about it?

No seriously is the first time I hear this, but Honda made it clear that only 1 model of B16B is available whereas B18C R on 96 spec teg has slightly less torque than the one on 98 spec teg....

besides the SP designation was only given to Honda bikes & not cars (RVT1000 SP1 & SP2, CBR400RR SP, NSR250R SP).

this is a new one 2 me think the boy is prob tryin to make himself look better than other ek9 owners. so he prob knows nothin about them just a wanna be

From what i found, the B16B SP would be an engine code given in the game Battle Gear 4 for Civic Type-R. And i've read stuff about a B16B SP being a SPOON B16B... The Battle Gear part sounds the most probable for me, though i dunno about the SPOON part hehe

'dark_saint' if u can contact that guy again... tell him to join EK9.org & show us WOT hes got!

yeah, it's time to put up :pics: of this so called "SP" version, if he can't show proof of the existence of this car then it's bullsh!t.

we are waiting.

Quite straight forward....
Ownership vs desire = B16B vs B16B "Somebody Pleeeease!!"
