Who broke down on the Ring?


Really Gutted for you mate and hope you get it sorted ASAP :(

If I was ever going to the ring I will be taking my own merc recovery truck with my car on back just in case, I would never trust any other company to deliver my car if anything happens

I love my truck, had this one for nearly 3 years an have been up and down the country to collect my own personal cars, it's never missed a beat an never let me down

Best thing I ever purchased, worth every penny :))
 
Yeah the woman was straight up rude tbh.
I'd like to go and get it if I'm honest. Means I can get fixing straight away lol
Car was going great guns, two wet laps and then first dry lap was an 8:40 taking it easy. Then had great fun with two caterhams and an e46 m3 battling it out. Then 5th lap coming out of the cones i got wheelspin (weird because my car doesn't spin 2nd, ever) carried on through to fifth. Look behind me befor I turn in and see **** loads of smoke.
Pull over and open bonnet, oil everywhere.
Seems I have pressurised the crank case and spat oil out of the breather set up.
Never lost oil pressure and the car idles although quite rough and very rich. Plugs don't show any signs of detonation just oily cylinder 3.
I'm clinging on to hope that the headgaskets gone on an oil gallery. Although a cracked ring land looks likely, slightly annoying seen as I was on low boost (0.4bar)

Worst case is I get some forged pistons in there.

Shame to hear this Jesse.

ADAC are terrible to deal with. The staff are extremely rude and offer no support whatsoever. If you are going to arrange to take the car home yourself keep receipts of all the costs you occur and submit them in a complaint.

They recovered my Jeep from Belgium after a lot of arguing and retrospectively covered the costs of a rental car I hired.

Don't give up with them...
 
I know people who have had excellent no questions asked service.

Mine was ok a little hassle but when i proved the value of engine they where happy to bring it home.
