Well lads i dropped off my car to someone to get the heater matrix replaced cos i simply dont have the time or space to do it myself as im so busy.

But ever since i got the car back the radio doesnt work....

I have checked it an the earth wire has a slight live pulse.

So i cut it an brought an earth from the chassie up an it still did the same thing.

Only thing i can think of is that there is a wire crossed somewhere or a live sqweze to the body somewhere.

Help would be greatly appreciated as i am in the middle of taking out the dash to find the problem.

Also there are a lot of plugs disconected so if there was a wireing diagram or something i could refer to to see what they are?

Or i could take a picture of it all.

Any input would be great lads thanks.

Any ideas anybody lots of Technicians an ppl who have done work to hondas on here?

Sounds like something is disconnected or a wiring crossed. If you have any live to the body it will melt the wiring etc so I highly doubt its that.
the earth you are checking that's pulsing, is that on the vehicles original earth for the radio? or is it on a convertor loom for the radio?

M8 iv searched for wiring diagrams for ye but just can't find any , iv posted the honda service manual for download if you won't to download it and have a look at the wiring diagrams ,

Thanks for that lads i stripped back the dash :nono: in the end an found 2 plugs that had been disconnected and an earth wire that was just left dangling so that has fixed the problem :)

Thanks for gettin back to me :nice:

Ah good glad you sorted it, I knew it had to be something silly. :)

So you paid someone to do a job and you ended up fixing what he broke,
Seen that all to often!

Yup thats a fact man if i can do somethin myself from now on i will.

It'd be faster an cheaper to do it myself plus a learning curve is always good :)

It is ye, I bought a facelift ek9 dash and the heater matrix, ac,and blower box ,I had them sitting in my shed for two months because I never changed a full dash from pre-face ek to facelift ek9, but it tuc me about 5 hours to do job on my own ,and I was wondering why I left it so long to do it in first place.
All the information is on the Internet now a days you can't go wrong.
