Hi all,

http://www.ek9.org/index.php?threads/neilek9.68381/

The time has come to sell up, ive owned my EK9 just over 3 years now and im looking to move on to something different.

I will upload photos later when im at home and can take fresh pics.

The mileage is just over 100k (will confirm)

I bought my EK9 from Waqas (Kaks) on here, the car was great condition and since been in the UK has only ever been owned by forum members, which is what i would like to keep. It has 4 UK owners and the first being Duncan who imported it.

Spec as follows...

-EK9 RX model
- Healthy B16b which burns hardly any oil between 4k services.
-Fujitsubo Rmo1a catback exhaust.
-Toda rep manifold
- Tegiwa Whales c*ck intake
- Tegiwa Engine Torque Damper
- Rota Fighter 16" wheels
- Meister Zeta R coilovers
- Yoko parada spec2 fronts, Toyo T1r rears.
- Lightweight flywheel (unsure of maque)
Good points...

Engine is strong and never missed a beat, it had a new distributor fitted end of last year and timing was set by me, i have a timing gun which will be donated to the new owner so they can check the timing themselves.
I always service the car myself with Fully synth 5w-30 Fuchs Titan pro from Opie oils. Service intervals are every 4k miles. Filters always changed with a Hamp stumpy filter, a testament to the servicing is the amount of used oil filters i have amassed in my garage from replacements. Plugs are changed every other service along with Gearbox oil. I changed the Fuel filter last year with a Genuine OEM replacement.

The boot developed the usual leak through the vents and/or rear lights, I put new seals on the lights and vents and cleaned/ undersealed behind the bumper to protect.

Car is always ran on V-Power, never put anything else in it since i have owned the car, i tend to avoid supermarket fuels with my company car let alone my personal car.

Underside of car is clean, it was undersealed when it came into the UK and i undersealed it as best i could the other year to protect from our road grime.

General condition of paintwork is very good, no fade in the paint at all and i am very OCD with cleaning. Washmitt and 2bm method. Car was polished last year and sealed with a chemical guys paste wax. I will also give these to the new owner to hopefully keep it looking good.

Bad points....

Every car this age has them, these are niggles that have developed recently but due to time constraints and a company car now being my daily i haven't had time to get fixed.

There is a 5p sized rust spot in usual space on rear arch, I haven't got a quote to repair but i can't image it being to serious to fix.

Drivers door actuator doesn't work, no idea why. It stopped recently. This only affects the central locking, and the car can still be locked from inside.

Passenger electric window doesn't work, i had the door apart last year and lubed the runners with some lithium grease, around 6 months later the window itself stopped working, It may just be a faulty wire, drivers side works fine.

Pretty much everything i can think of, the car is due an MOT which i will do before it is sold, every MOT i have had has come back with no advisory and i have no reason to believe it will get any this time around.

The sale of the car will include spares, some of which i never got around to fitting, these are...

Recaro driver seat bolsters and fabric.
2 X rear trailing arm bushes.
few other bits and pieces.

Il also include the standard B16b manifold and a OEM clutch which still has plenty of life left on.

Reason for sale is i want something else, The EK9 was my dream car since i was about 14 and i bought one as soon as i turned 19. It has been my absolute love for the past 3 years and i hope it goes to a great home. Unfortunately i don't have the time these days to look after it how it should be treated. I will truly be gutted to see it go.
