Now let me state very clearly that the wing was wrapped VERY WELL especially at corners by "Alan168" and had "FRAGILE" in big red writing multiple times!!!!

To do this, it must have been thrown or dropped from a great height.....NEVER USING THEM AGAIN and i hope this never happens to anyone else that does take the risk!

Thanks for the extra cost to fix YODEL!!!

Sh!t man! Is there anyway you can put in a claim form so to speak? Try and get some compensation?

thats down to alan who sent it im sure? Probably find they the courrier doesnt supply insurance...like most of them :((

totally understand where your coming from mate, at work we used to use DHL/Yodel for everything we sent and were a massive company so sent/spent thousands, we were constantly claiming for damaged and missing goods and eventually sacked them totally :) hope you get it sorted mate

Unfortunatley the word 'Fragile' is like a red rag to a bull with courier companies.

I no how you feel,I had the same thing with a bonnet with TNT,it was well packed and had fragile all over it but it was bent and dented and looked like it had been crashed into and i seen photos before it was sent 100% straight, and it wasnt thin metal by anymeans as it was for a pontiac trans am.all TNT said once its signed for theres no come back.

Aww man not good.

This has happened to me in the past. After 3 months of getting fcuked about. They told me "If you signed for the package that's you saying it was ok when it arrived" Sorry man.

I used to work for DPD for a while and I can tell you words like ''Fragile'' or ''Handle with care'' mean absolutely nothing to them...I wrap everything so that it's pretty much indestructible because I know it WILL be thrown around no matter what you write on it.

This is so true, they all tend to be the same unless you're paying exclusively for a courier.

I've seem drivers from many different delivery companies throwing parcels around to make room in the van, a lot of the time they're throwing them onto other parcels or dropping them on the floor etc..

I feel its not totally the fault of the drivers, its very competitive and as a result i get the impression the drivers are pressured, not being able to finish until they've completed all collections/deliveries for that day.

looks like it was fired off a roof! courier's are pure chancers, as others have mentioned once you sign for the delivery you have actually signed that the packaged arrived in a satisfactory condition. disgust!

Unfortounately no matter which courier you use for transporting irregular dimensions and weight (IDW) it's going to have a high risk of getting damaged. You have to think there's like thousands and thousands of freight load it into a 40ft trailer then getting thrown around. In the transport world time is a essence, every minutes vital due to vosa's tight driving laws. If every company slowly took there time then every ones delivery times would be delayed by as much as months. I would say the must be 10-20 percent damages per day through out the net work.

That's why ups and fed-ex are so succesful because they have strict time scales and only
collect up to 25kg. I've worked for ups and some other low chain companies and ups are by far the best because of the above.

You are just unlucky mate I can assure you that your not the only person but it happens and can't be avoided in some instances (accidents do happen).

Just make sure you accept if you get something posted big then accept it to have a high risk of damages on delivery.

That's were the is a clause, ALWAYS right goods unchecked on delivery note cross out if on paper in good good condition. However to save hasstle get the courier to wait whilst you open it that way you can refused delivery because of damages ect, then sign once you have to. The driver might not like it but if he refuses you ring the company just to cover yourself 9/10 they would log that driver refused to wait, due to late collection delivery so goods wasn't checked. It's the same as if you have a box turn up and it has say a dent or defect on report it immediately.

I bought a wing off Alan a while back and i can confirm his packaging is awesome haha. I used paisley to get the wing to me though, had no problems....

I've always found Parcelforce to be pretty good, sent 2 surfboards with them (one sent, one arranged collection to come to me) and they were fine! I was worried they would get dicked about with as you can't really hide the shape, and the one that came to be was just in a board bag and wrapped in loads of bubble wrap but didn't have a mark on it.

how ironic, i sent silver ek wing with these guys very well packaged in huge box BUTTT

they lost it

you do pay for quality of service hence i stick with likes of ups
