5Zigen too loud

Maybe I'm just getting old but I brought an EK9 a couple months ago which had a 5Zigen Fireball on it... Its doing my head in.

Sounds great when on a spirited drive but when I'm just commuting to work the droning is giving me a head ache.

Any suggestions for a system that sounds nice when giving it some but nice and quiet(ish) on motorways?...

Read about Mugen Twin loop which sound the best option just seeing if anyone has another alternative.

- Twin Loop
- Apexi WS2
- Apexi Noir
- Tanabe Super Medallion Touring
- HKS HiPower Silent (the non-silent version does NOT have an extra muffler)
- Spoon Street (personally I think it doesnt sound that good and it looks tacky)
 
is the cat in??

when i get annoyed of my exhauts i put the cat back in and now i never take it out

transfer sounds better as well with it in
 
I always found you get more annoying drone with the cat in, whenever I decat a system it's a lot less boomy.
 
My EG5 with aluminium CAI, decat and SS catback makes my ears bleed because of the drone with silencer and/or cat. With cat or silencer, it gets a lot better.
 
I had this same problem,same 5zigen and all,I just went and got the standard system,I'm getting old too by the looks of it :)
