Hi all, I thought I would share my EJ9. I have had a few EK's and an EG all where great but all lacked in the paint department. So I sold my B16 EK3 to buy this low mileage Aqua mint EJ9 :)

This is what it looked like when I went and looked at it. (It was standard minus the O.Z's. )

It was off a friend who bought my old EK3 so he sold it to me with some of my old parts which concluded of:

EVO 2 Recaros
15" Sprint SW96's in 4X100
Ta Technix Coilovers
Magnaflow Exhaust
Meister R 286MM Brakes
L.E.D sidelights and plate lights
EK4 Front subframe complete with EK4 Front ARB

So this is what I took home.

I was (and still am) extremely pleased with it. I adore the colour and have the best thing is that is has 80k with NO rust!

So a few weeks passed before I decided that the coilovers where fine for cheap lows but not really up to the task of potential track days. So I took the plunge and bought myself some 6TWO1 Coilovers at a very good price. (Oh and I changed the Jap Can magnaflow to a Spec 2 rep backbox. I still am running a mid box and cat so its not loud.)

I am very happy with them, the car handles very well for just having coilovers on. I then decided to give the whole car a decent clean with some clay. I am yet to polish it as I want to get it polished properly then get it sealed with some Wolf's bodyguard (very good stuff). So its just waxed with some cheap turtle wax at the moment.

So this is the results of the general cleaning:

So that's to where I am currently at. So what are the future plans? I am toying between a B18C4 with ITR internals with an A2 head to make a "poor mans type R" or just to go with another B16 but with a few extras.

The next mods to come will be EK9 lips, colour code, EK9 spoiler, rear disc conversion, new bushes all round, short shifter and the list goes on.

Thanks for viewing/reading!

Is it turbo? They're getting rare, so I'd keep it if I was you. I'd buy it, but I have a Civic to worry about :D

Yeah 660cc Turbo 3 Cylinder. Has a few extra mods on it. Its making 90BHP and I got it weighed on a weight bridge which it came back as 700KG without me in it and half a tank of fuel.

Heres a few photos of Daihatsu Love :) (If someone wants to buy it let me know. Its currently up for £2000. Its the l200 so 1 of 2 in the UK.

Thanks for reminding me! I completely forgot this has an EK4 frame subframe with ARB. I was tempted to get the M2 19mm Rear ARB. I had a EK4 rear on my old EK3 but I would have preferred an EK9 one so the M2 one is right in the middle and price wise seems decent.

Bit of an update. I managed to get myself a genuine EK9 front lip and a rep rear for decent money. I repaired the deep scratched areas and primed them ready for paint :)

Oh and also installed my OMP Corsica :nice:

Seems as though all people do in the southwest is break Hondas. They're everywhere, I'm sure you'll get one.
I live in Ireland though haha. I've only been offered/come across replica lips.

I lied, I got some cheap paint off eBay just to get the lips on. Didn't turn out too badly but still a shocking colour match.

The lighting flatters the car way too much. The colour difference is very noticeable but considering the bonnet is also a shade off I am not too fussed. When the money rolls in I will get it all touched in professionally along with the mirrors, door handles, side skirts, side mouldings and rear plate recess.

It'll do for now :nice: Maybe paint the grille surround as well? The chrome is a no-no haha.

Yeah exactly I wasn't expecting too much from it, only other problem is my B pipe is about 4 inches too long so my exhaust is touching the rear lip so I will have to get that shortened soon.

Just waiting for payday really to get myself an EK9 style grill and then I will colour code that with the left over paint I have here :)

Lovely car! love the color. How do you find the 6wto1 coilovers?

I think you said you we're spraying the grill with the same paint you sprayed the lip, but if you go into halfords they'll mix paint up to your color code in a 300ml aerosol can made by holts. I just used it to spray my grill today, came out surprisingly well. All my other paint was mixed at local paintshop but I'll be using halfords again for the small bits in the future.
