Importing '98 EK9.

Very exciting! When mine landed I immediately tore it apart to deep clean and access any issues or it's needs. Once that started I havent driven it much in the three months i've had it. :run: My ocd kicks in and everything needs to be done right away for me to enjoy. its silly.lol .

Looking forward to following along your build.

Did some brake work today. Waiting on App brake lines and wheels this week

I come with sad news today.

My ek9 was hit by an unlicensed uninsured illegal immigrant on Wednesday. I’m ok. The car is not.

He ran a red light while texting and driving and I was sitting at the light waiting for my light to go green.

It’s fixable. Insurance isn’t covering it.

What? Why the f*** doesn't insurance cover this? It's not your fault..

Well they aren’t in the business to hand out money. I’m still working with them but expecting the worst

Oh yeah, i've read that in the u.s., insurances are tough to deal with. Well, best of luck anyways.

this sucks man, hope you get something from the insurance

I feell for you, sickening. Has it kinked any of the inner wing? , subframe OK?

Good to hear the frame is straight etc. Hope to see it back on the road soon!

So after about a month I finally decided on a body shop.

I need to find a passenger front fender in black preferably. Anybody have one they’d sell me? Pre face lift of course.

Had the car aligned and to my surprise found out no suspension pieces were bent!

That’s so annoying but at least it’s fixable . It’s a shame the regas got damaged aswell..

Really surprised alignment is ok as both wheels look to have different steering angle in accident pics, you would think the tie rod got bent .

I know theres a lot of Civics being parted out in California. You're not near there though are you? o_O
