importing an ek9

Hi all,
I know its a rude question but between now and end of the year ill be looking at importing an ek9. And was wonder how much people paid to import one? , as id like a rough idea of how much money ill need to save.

Really clean? Anywhere from 7 upwards for a nice example on the road in the uk
 
When I rang around I was being told 7 for an average one to about 9k for a mint one :nerv:
 
Christ didn't they where that much, think I might just buy one already in the uk
 
speak to "dunk" on here

i went to get some parts off him the other week and he has 2 very nice ones in, pre face and facelift

they are both on ebay aswell

I definitely assumed I'd be better off finding the cleanest example by getting a fresh import, but a good friend bought a DC5 off a very reputable company recently and to say it was meant to be a grade 4 mint import...lets just say I'm glad I didnt waste my money trying to find the same as mines been by far a better buy and its been in the country 6 years now! :nono:
 
I will do nearer the time as wont be for a few months before I proper starting think bout getting one. just wanted a generally idea of how much I needed.

yeah I only really wanted to import one just to say I imported it. but for 7k to 9k I think ill just do what you done and buy one already here. also I don't want to be feeling like your friend.
 
I would speak to dunk or type-r-dunk as his name is on here.

Think he was doing fresh imports for about 6.5k
 
Get what you pay for at the end if the day, as for importing it all depends who you use and what contacts are used in japan

Might just go down torque gt and see what he reckons the best thing to do
