I've gone for a GTx2867r turbo, the go-autoworks S-race kit with mini ram manifold, 3" downpipe and recirculating dumptube.

I hate the cold SO SO much so progress has been crap lol, but I've finished uni till the new year so can hopefully crack on a bit now. still waiting on my engine back, but fingers crossed its this week!

Oh those pics where on Facebook, I've liked their page.
You've got the mini ram? Nice turbo aswell!
I've been looking into their mini ram manis. Will keep eye on yours and see how I feel in 6months.
Think your build is alittle better than mine lol
Bitch lol

Why don't you update on civiclife anymore Nicole ?
I have to come over here to read it then again civiclife is full of uneducated twats now haha

Great progress, now you'll have that extra torque you've been after.

Having Will @rdt map this when it's done ?

read some **** on FB regarding the build Nicole? what's up?

Nice turbo kit, Bet you can't wait to drive it. Who's doing the map?

Yup. Unfortunately the engine builders shut down last Monday but failed to tell anyone. Queue utter panic when I found out as I had over £1.2k worth of stuff locked in there :( police wouldn't help, trading standards advised to just send letters and then proceed with court action if no response. Got hold of the business address from companies house and went down there to find he'd left for Iraq!! and his wife knows nothing as they're mid divorce.
Tracked down the ex-employees and got receptionist to let me in today and grab my stuff. Was so upset yesterday, was so shady I hadn't been contacted and the place was completely shut down with no notice of who to contact.
Happy to have everything back but pretty sad to be bringing it all home I'm boxes :( I need to find someone else to do it now, no idea what to do next. Can't even tell if it's been over bored like I asked.

Regards to mapping, I'm not sure yet, literally no idea but I didn't wanna start thinking about it till I had an engine - which seems forever away now :'(

That's really bad luck!
If you wasn't in a rush And if my engine comes out well I'd build it for you.
A decent machinist will find out the bore size for you no problem so that's no worries.
Tbh finding another firm to build your engine won't be too hard, just a massive faff.
Take it you paid all up front?

That **** news, Not what you want to hear. Can't believe they didn't even call you. Hope you never paid up front.!

That's sad to hear. At least you got your parts back.
To be honest, someone with that sort of business acumen and loyalty to customers is maybe someone you don't want building your engine.
Everything happens for a reason, and I'm sure you will be able to find another engine builder; someone who is more trustworthy, which is exactly what you want for such high tolerance work!

Nope, paid nothing so that's something at least. Were just a little short for decent builders up here in the north east - the place I'd chose had a really good reputation for the last 30 or so years. I've just been so unlucky :(

Orrrrrr
Build it yourself?

I've considered it and tbh it does look like the honing has been done. It's not been decked like I wanted but I guess that's not too specialist to get done. They did all the measuring for my bearings and I've got some plastigauge I've found in with the rods but I dunno wether to trust doing it myself or not. It's tempting but a shitter if something goes wrong and it's my fault lol

Personal choice I suppose, if your going to worry about everything your doing then probably best give it to someone else.
But tbh, I've not found anything difficult, just time consuming.

**** thats bad news  but the good news is you got all your stuff back :)) was waitin to read that you didnt get it back or somethin ha.

So just find another place to build it an tell em your story an they might take pity on ya an bump you up the list

of all engine builers and painters, 95% are the scumm of the earth

hope you get it sorted. building it yourself is also really an option, look into it, its not as complicated as people make it out to be

spend a bit more money and get the machine work donr propperly then put it together yourself?
