Price Check

Looks nice but a bit pricey for a standard car ! why does it have 2 cd players haha ?

Been advertised for months,
A little steep hence why.
Needs to drop about a grand then I'd say it's a fairer price.

Clean OEM un molested models are very rare now.

Its vastly overpriced and the paintwork is in terrible condition. :nono:

I got my ek9 from that company, I got my car In October and he got that black
One in a week later. He said he has to charge that much because the price of buying/importing them now is a lot and needs to make his money back.
But still is over priced!!

But If I was you I'd buy topher-EK9 car, spend a grand on it and it would be mint and you would still have cash left over

Agree with everything above! I bought my black pre-facelift back at the end of october and it was for sale then. Couldn't justify paying £8,000 for a facelift 9 with that mileage regardless of whether it costs alot to import. Topher's pre-facelift is a bargain and with very little money could be a perfect example! That would be my choice

£8k for a bog standard EK with 88k on the clocks..

IMO definitely not worth that; I don't really see why people/companies insist on selling their nine's for insane amounts of money. I'm pretty sure Ek9's are increasing in price; I've been noticing an increasing trend in high cost standard nine's with quite a bit of mileage on them.

Would definitly pick Topher's over that mate. :nice:

Thanks for you replies everyone. Very helpful.

I'll be reluctantly advertising my FD2 on the weekend, then I can start hunting for one.

been looking at that for a while its been up for ages now not worht the money.

not that it needs saying agine but BUY TOPHERS ONE :D

Hi Guys

Had a nice chat with one of the admin guys of here today. :nice:

In response to the above comments, the price is what it is, we don't have much control over the price.

3 years ago we was getting 244Yen to £1GBP
Today we are getting 119Yen to £1GBP

This is a massive change and is costing a fortune, that's why there's no importers left. 4 years back we would have 4 EK9's, 4 DC5's, 4 DC2's, not to mention a pack of Skylines & EVO's, have a look at the stock list, we have MPV's now!

Prices in Japan are keeping pretty strong also.

I know what price an EK9 is, £5000 to £6000.

Our car is not overpriced, it's the price for a EK9 direct from Japan, If you want a fresh one with no rust.

An EVO 6 you can buy in the UK for £4500 (granted not a great one) for a fresh one from Japan, we would need a budget of £10,000. Unless you start scraping the 200,000km accident damaged stuff which we keep well away from.

It's not about keeping prices high or selling the car for an "insane amount of money" like dougal said. We are actually making very little profit in that car. I can go to any car auction in the country and buy almost anything and make more from that than the EK9. But we are Importers and will always be, so will continue to get cars from Japan.

Hopefully the exchange rate will pick up one day and we can have some normal prices.

That said if any of you guys want a fast sale on your Honda give us a try, we do offer a fair price and we will buy it there and then, cash in your hand.

I see where your coming from,
But that will not fetch that money.
This is why people stop importing them,
So many cleaner models available in the uk for much less than that unfortunately.

Cleaner? That's a matter of opinion, I am sure if you put them both up on a ramp, the condition will stand out! It will sell for that money to someone who wants a fresh import.

I here what your saying, that's why we have had the car 8 months, that said we have had a fair bit of interest on it and it's only a matter of time before it goes.

I would always have a Fresh Jap Import over 1 that's been run in the UK for a couple of years. But I suppose it all boils down to how much money you have in your pocket.

Either way the bad exchange rate is very bad, hopefully one day it will get better.
