Thought i'd give this a quick update...
Not really done much tbh. I put the Mugen lip back on, just preferred how it looked tbh which is weird because I love how the FM one looks on every car i've seen it on, bar mines haha. A few days later I cracked the Mugen one off a pothole lol. Will fix it at some point.
Washed all the cars a few weekends ago, killed me but nice to have all the cars clean for once haha
My brakes felt a bit meh, so replaced the brake fluid. Was also getting a really weird noise when I was braking at low speeds, sounded like a grinding noise but would go away if I braked harder or stopped braking. The pads and the discs looked fine, bar a little bit of friction material pick up on the backs of the disks. As you can see, the brake fluid was a beautiful colour.
Replaced with ATE Super Blue
Brakes felt much better after that, no surprise there haha. Also got a Skunk2 shifter from a mate, so swapped my old short shifter out. That'll be up for sale for a tenner if anyone wants it, i'll stick a thread up for it in a bit. The Skunk2 came on a B series linkage, so thats whats in the pic, dont worry, I still have a D14 haha. The linkage came with poly bushes, so if anyone wants B series shifter poly bushes, give me a shout.
Old shifter and B series linkage
I noticed that I was getting a rumbling noise from the front drivers side, it was different to the normal rumbling (NS2's and Parada Spec2's make a RACKET). Took the wheel etc off and had a look.
Dead Wheel Bearing. - YouTube
Someone say dead wheel bearing? Haha. Ordered a new one from JapServiceParts, top guys. Then Frodo said he'd press the new wheel bearing in for me, absolute legend. So I got the upright off ready to give to him.
Frodo pressed in the new bearing for me (thanks again mate) and I got it all back together. Had a problem with the brake, managed to sort that though. Apart from that it all came off and when on really easily, was properly surprised haha.
And today I swapped out my rear light gaskets for the ones that robbieD's selling atm. Great quality and good guy to deal with, thanks again mate.
New Vs old, old ones were actually ok, but they were the originals so better to change them before a leak starts.
Halfway through
New one on the light
I noticed the passenger side rear had this plug taped to the loom, anyone know what its for? Wasn't plugged into anything
And back together.
Thats it, well done if you've managed to read that haha. Sorry for the crap phone pics. And sorry to the people that got bombarded with snapchats while all this happened haha.
C&C welcome!
