B18 ek4 build

looking great as usual and its always nice to add a few shiny parts, exhaust and manifold came up so well too :))

I had the lend of one of those meguires DA buffs recently, they work very well and you dont risk burning through the paint and leaving swirl marks like the angle grinder style buffs

yes the "meguairs" buff is good for a novice like me!

honda paint is that bloody soft so hard to keep swirl free, most cases i just fill the swirls in :)

small update!!!

well folks aint updated here for a while as im just waiting for my bottom end to be built up.
its now done so just have to save up for the next step...

block was bored out to 81.5mm,decked,honed and all that carry on.

decided to get few gauges for my engine build, not a fan of gauges in general and didnt want cheap crap.
got lucky with these on ebay....

they are APEXI EL (first gen) oil temp and oil pressure, they are 60mm gauges so next job is to fit them into the lower "pocket" as i want to keep stereo where it is.
they had no senders so had to buy some....

just waiting on some carbon sheet (thanks "Firas") then i can start chopping :naughty:

Just read the whole build your car I stunning mate a mint example keep the updates coming :)

thought i would mount the Apexi gauges i picked up,being 60mm rather than the norm at 52mm it made it a bit more tricky to find a suitable place etc.

let the pics do the talking....

gauges look really good, but could not sacrifice that for my cup holder, lol

i had a pop out cupholder and used it maybe twice! damm things are too small for any drink!
if you have the non pop out holders then they can still be used after fitting the gauges the way i did.

thanks for the comments folks :secret:

seen these gauges in the car they look really well! Alot of work went into mounting them in carbon but its def worth it

*** brake update ****

im currently running 282mm front discs (mg zs),DC2 calipers and DC2 master cylinder/servo.
thought it was time i upgraded rear to match from 242mm to 262mm discs.
so i bought the following items brand new....

262mm 4x100 discs (mg zs)
rear calipers (mg zs)
rear pads

this is a common mod for anybody running 4x100 and everything bolts up with no mods :win:

sprayed up the hub area of the new discs as i hate when they rust!!

all done and calipers painted silver..

Very nice wee touches Ricky, I love it.

Still to see this in person, I'm sure I will soon if you're at any of the local shows :)
