i did a test with £10 petrol which was roughly 2 gallons and got 60ish miles out of it but the urge to hit vtec was incredibly controlled throughout!!

what should be the main points to check or see if your disc or disks have been warped? would you have to completely remove the disc? should one section of the disc be hotter then the rest? any info would help alot

hi mate, i have been reading your thread regarding your rear wheels not being free and im in the same position. did you manage to find out what was the main cause of it as i have bought some calipers and im in the stage to either buy a handbrake cable or discs!!! hope you can enlighten me...

went to another mechanic today and he said that it could be a hand brake cable which is stuck. but bleeding helped the pedal but if the disc had warped would it be visible? i dont have many tools hence why the mechanics are controlling my progress

looked abit closer and it looks like half of the brake pad is only touching the disc and the other half isnt. Could be that the mechanic fitted the calipers or pads incorrectly but could it be due to not bleeding properly that brake pedal has to tracel further to finally get some brakage power??

waited a whole week to get this done and these were the results. Got the new refurb caliper from brakes int took it to a local mechanic who fitted them and confirmed the old calipers had seized. he adjusted my handbrake and bleeded the brake where caliper was fitted. drove home noticed...

i have had an ep82 with tiny mods and restricted. did beat astra vxr, golf r34, clio 182, corolla t something? did crash racing a scooby in the rain cz didnt have abs for a tight bend!! but ive learnt my lesson and was some years ago my bro has a ep82 and did race him in my jordan...

i had the same problem but cant fix till weekend cz of work. how much did second hand caliper cost and was it ok to fit? also was it hard to get hold of?

rang brakes int and they needed to know what size discs they are, he asked if its 240 or 260mm. does anyone know the size for rear for a jordan/ek4?

if it was the parking brake would it not affect both rear brakes?

thanks for the advice, think a replacemnt would have to be done as i dont think i could and would want to rebuild it. have you experienced this yourself?
