Hi Tim, Just called up asking for an insurance quote. All was going well until we got round to the modifications to my car. When I said it had a Spoon ECU, they asked what power does it give. I haven't had the car dynoed so wouldn't know and they can't go further with a quote without knowing...

How much was it? The last time I paid £2.42 a litre.

Like I said, go ahead if you want but don't whine if it ends in tears. If I were in the position of buying one, I'd get one insured properly. I guess some people out there are desperate enough to take the risk...

An EK9 is neither a VTI-R nor a VTEC-R, if you insure it under those then its up to you. If you prang it and insurance won't pay up, please don't come here crying about it or go on any forum as you have be already told that EK9s shouldn't be insured under such names.

Don't get hung up on figures, too many people seem to do that. Whether its the age old 0-60 crap or top speed crap or bhp crap. Just enjoy your car mate, nothing else should matter. Figures are for pub talk.

Most UK Honda owners on UK forums swear by Rota..best thing since sliced bread because its more affordable than proper wheels from companies like Spoon, Volk, Advan, Work etc.. They even trade Volk TE37s and the like in for Rotas... :angry2:

but petrol is only expensive because of that money grabbing Chancellor of ours..soon to be PM - though I hope not.
