Freakin Rota....sigh


who cares, rota compied my wheel too, but the fakes LOOK FAKE!! they look like ****, your look way better! im sure people can tell the difference.
 
People commonly confuse gabs with GT3's, it sort of takes away from owning a rare wheel. Its the same with the sw388's and slipstreams, only a few sw388's are around and people will always confuse them with rotas. Its the same with many of the copies they make.
 
i never cared before- but now that i own a pair of rims that has been replicated it actually sucks haha. but yeah i agree the fakes will always look fake. o well it was bound to happen anyways.
 
i once had a customer walk into the store who tried to tell me ROTA was straight jdm and they made the slipstream before spoon made the sw388, first i laughed hard, then i asked if he was serious, he was dead serious, i told him he needed to leave.

That reminds me, to this day I know a kid who swears to god that a 92-96 prelude is a del sol. Its just annoying.
 
Most UK Honda owners on UK forums swear by Rota..best thing since sliced bread because its more affordable than proper wheels from companies like Spoon, Volk, Advan, Work etc..

They even trade Volk TE37s and the like in for Rotas... :angry2:
 
that is dumb, exchanging real wheels for rotas, I hate rotas a lot, I have gone through a lot of trouble to get real wheels and those copies ruin it all, but that they do look fake is true, but most people dont know that......
 
I hate rota also, have you ever seen the volks te37s replicas in white? :nerv:
 
i don't mind Rota wheel, i mean not everyone can afford the real deal!

although i do dislike how people buy Rota's and then put the stickers on them so they look like the real deal :angry:

That's the exact Volks Rays I've sold six months ago. Their performance + reliability cannot be compared to any other racing wheel. The 15" cost more than $1600 new. :nerv: Really, anyone willing to spend so much money for rims, these are the case
 
Te37's do bend sometimes just like any rim, but because of the forging they weigh less and are less susceptible to bending.
The new volk re-30 is actually 30% stronger than the older te37 or ce28, but in my opinion it doesnt look quite as good. Its a 14 spoke wheel, which spreads out the load vs. a 6 spoke like the Te37.

Yea, these are not as good as the old TE37s in terms of look
 
HA! I can do ya one better. I have Keystone replicas of OEM Integra meshes. :p Only thing is, these do a better job fooling people. They were designed to be exact OE replicas to replace damaged wheels so they better look real.

Yeah it does kinda suck that they copy those wheels like that. I want a set of Mugen NR's myself. Please tell me that Rota doesn't make one. There's another wheel, I'm not to sure of the name, Wedsport SA90 I think, that I hope they don't copy cause I want some. I know a couple of people that have these plus I've seen a set on a Midori Green hatch like mine and they looked pretty sweet.

well i guess Rota might look the same but rim quality must NOT be the same tho...
 
the quality of a copy is NEVER the same, you can tell just by looking at them. there is nothing wrong with cheap affordable wheels, but to copy is just wrong! they could at least change it a little bit to look different.

I couldn't find so far a championshit EK9 wearing some bronze Volk Rays. :angry2: I want to see it because I'm planning to cover up my wide open wounds I made to my self and buy a fresh new set. I want 16" and its around $2000 without the tires!! :( Do you know a site or something to find a picture??
