because there cars are quite popular, people tend to bump up the price for these cars, this is know as a scene tax

for 3.5k you can get ukdm/96 spec dc2 for that kind of money.

Very good point there, my 99 UKDM DC2 stands me at £2700 & was up for £3600 when i bought it!

it would need to be a clean car with some nice mods for that price if its standard then its overpriced imho.
