Is there any difference between the 2001 models to a 2003 model? Also what are the things you need to look out for in these?? Any help be great..

Try the dc5 forum has a **** load of info on there mate

Aww and a main problem is water in the boot!

no difference in them models i dnt think, there was a couple 2004+ tho . av herd the engine mounts are weak on them, but people notice more when there pushing more bhp.
but yeh as dan says check the forums

There is a facelift and prefacelift i think, am sure there are a couple of differences:

1. different shape rear lights
2. different rear bumper (i think), well one of the models has a black strip in the bumper

I may be wrong though, best to check out itr-dc5 :D

Yeh the face lift model came in , in 2004 also has carbon sincros rather then normal steel

Look out for loud gearboxes mainshaft I.e when the cars running put the clutch in and listen then out, people try to say it's the clutch realese bearing but it's actually the gearbox mainshaft. If it's really bad gone you will hear it when driving at low speeds. It's a common k20 problem. Full service history is a must, as said water In the boot. Other then that absolutly cracking cars but handling is not so good I found.

I think the 02+ came with ignition button, only thing I can think off mate.

ignition push start is a optional extra as my old dc5 was a 02 plate cpack and didnt have push start why my mates did and he didnt have the cpack

Don't think the c pac had the push button start, I think people just put these in from an s2000. Water in the boot can be cured easily with new rear light gaskets. The biggest problem was trying to find one that was straight! Also crunching 2nd and 3rd in vtec.
