Up for possible sale/swap/gauging interest is my daily E46 320D M-Sport. My mileage to and from work is about to be halved as i begin to car share with a lad from my work who stays near me and has just joined my squad, so i can afford to get something a bit thirstier again. I have a car in mind, but i am open to part exchange with something interesting but reliable as it will still do approx 200-300 miles a week. Im really not overly fussed if the car sells or not as i love it and could save me a fortune in the long run.
Basic rundown
2003 BMW 320D M-Sport Saloon (53 plate, Nov 2003 registered)
78500 miles which will rise as the car is still in use every day, whether it be to and from work (70 miles) or to the gym/shops/footy and back.
2 previous owners (1 being BMW, think it was an ex demo/managers car), then owned by a friend of mine until i bought it last summer.
MOT is until end of May Tax until end of Nov '13
Some service history and old MOT's. Serviced by BMW until 48k miles (2009), then by previous owner (mechanic with Toyota), iv serviced it as well, and its due another in 5500 miles.
I contacted a friend who works in BMW car sales, and this is the specification demanded of the car from brand new.

So given everything up there, i wont need to waffle on about all the extra bits and bobs the car comes with from the factory as its all written up there apart from what comes on the Sport model standard which is the M-Sport front and rear bumpers, M-Sport suspension package and 18" MV2 alloys. I believe the wheels are staggered as standard.
Pics of car with original reg on, which will be back on the car prior to sale/swap.
Interior can also come with a wooden trim (i changed it from wood to carbon and leather gearknob as a personal preferance)
Car is almost standard.
Swirl flaps have been removed and blanked off.
Has been fitted with a K&N element filter.
Ecotune decat downpipe
SOS Motorsport remap from standard 140hp and 260lb/ft, to 180hp and 315lb/ft (DynoDynamics rollers, so pretty tough on figures, would probably make 190hp on other rollers)
The performance increase is incredible, and the MPG return is still averaging over 43 with mixed driving between motorway and around town. Needle sits at over 50 on cruise control at 75mph-85mph.
Car is in amazing condition for its age. Probably one of the cleanest E46 diesels on the road in original paint. I have it cleaned every week and polished once every 3/4 weeks.
Maintained in every way regardless of cost. When it was serviced in Sept last year i had the NSF caliper replaced due to it sticking. This is the only mechanical flaw i have had with the car since purchase in August, it has been a brilliant reliable motor. The prices for parts are no where near as bad as what people think/make them out to be, even for genuine BMW parts.
As with any car it does have a few negative points.
-The rear sills/arches are starting to show very VERY slight blemishes of rust coming through typical of an E46 pre 2004, but this is very very minimal and you really need to look hard to see it. Like said its defo the cleanest E46 iv seen in original paint.
-Rear parking sensors have a fault which i will be rectifying before sale. Doesnt operate correctly, think its might be one of the sensors not plugged in properly. I'll have it checked out though.
-Hand brake isnt the greatest. Going to have it fully checked out all round, may need to replace the rear plates/shoes. If it needs it, they'll get renewed.
-Wheels have kerb marks and some corrosion, could do with a refurb to tidy it up.
-Some very minor chips/dents as expected of a 9 year old car.
This is 100% the best car i have ever owned, made even better with the remap. The car is very comfortable, handles brilliant with M-Sport suspension and goes extremely well with an excellent MPG return to go with it. Will most likely fully regret selling when i get something else and it doesnt come close to how good this car is, which is why i have it priced at the top end of the price bracket for these, as it probably is the best one (i believe) available in the country at the minute.
Part exchange with WHY, not really got cash to add to another car however, but try me anyway. Like said above i do have a car in mind that i would like to buy, but will probably sell before this gets a sniff.
*PLEASE NOTE* Personalised plate is not included in the sale. Will return to its original registration SP53BUH
Many Thanks
Stevie
