Here we have for sale my trusty daily driver. I've had it throughout the winter having purchased it from a family friend who have had it in the family since 2008. I have knew of the car for a number of years and when my friend decided to go traveling last year I made an offer to buy it as I knew how much money its had spent on it over the years and it was a good runner.
Only reason its now up for sale is we are thinking of getting a dog and I wouldn't want to let it travel in any of my other cars ( BMW M3 and 1 series BMW ) so it will end up in the ibiza which will be a little bit small for a dog. I'm looking at something like a BMW 3 series touring with a big boot todo the job.
Firstly the body work isn't perfect, its got a number of minor battle scars from supermarket carparks and a number of stone chips to the front end from a lot of motorway miles all prior to my ownership. Thats the only issue to mention with the car, the appearance of it. Im probably not the best person to describe it as i'm used to concourse show standard cars but this is just my daily drive after all, most people would probably be happy with it Im just extremely picky.
The mechanicals are absolutely perfect and it runs like a dream, regularly achieves 65+ MPG on the motorway and even high 50's round the doors. Prior to my ownership its had a new turbo, clutch, flywheel, cambelt, brakes and a lot more in the last few years hence why I bought it. I knew all the important stuff was sorted and it will be trouble free motoring, which it still is. Currently showing 114,000 miles which is just run in if you know these PD engines, its had all the common problems sorted so its future proof for sometime yet. Change the oil every year and you will be good to go.
Its got the new style bumpers and interior - sport seats, gear knob, steering wheel etc as standard. Cd player, aux input, climate control, traction control, electric windows and all standard stuff. Its got dealer service history up until a few years ago but has a stack of paperwork and receipts as you can see.
Its got a few slight upgrades that overall improve the car,
- Recently fitted drilled and grooved discs and ebc pads all round
- Audi TT comp wheels ( front tyres new, plenty left on rear ) odd chip and scuff on the wheels but recently painted
- Catalyst Converter removed to help free flowing exhaust gases ( improves performance and MPG ) Still passes MOT no problem
- ECU remap to 175bhp and 280lbft
- Rear wiper removed ( can supply new owner with wiper and motor )
- HID headlights
- Black wing mirror covers
- OEM smoked rear lights
The car is a pleasure to drive, extremely powerful and capable whilst returning excellent MPG figures as you would expect with the renowned PD130 engine
Flew through an MOT at the end of january therefore MOT expires 28/01/2016
I've just taxed it for 6 months but will be irrelevant due to new DLVA rules, buyer will have to tax on purchase ( only £70 )
If you're looking for something super reliable thats not boring or dull and you don't mind the odd scuff and stone chip then look no further. Clutch is perfect with no slip, gears are all smooth, no nasty knocks or bangs really does drive faultless.
Looking for around £2950 or swap with a BMW 3 series touring diesel for similar money.
Many thanks
