4th spark plug hole full of oil??

was taking off the rocker cover on the civic today and found that the 4th spark plug hole is full of oil. the one furthest away from the dizzy. it was literally full to the very top

any ideas what could be the issue ? the 4 seals under the rocker cover are new , unless that one just isnt doing its job ?

all 3 of the other plug holes are bone dry

the engine was only put together recently has only ben started twice and ran fine, the head was fully rebuilt before that??

id say its most likely just the seal. it cant really come from anywhere else.

Yeah would say spark plug seal aswell, had this problem on a previous car

Defo plug seal, nowhere else it can come from tbh, tricky one how to get the oil out

ya its just odd , coz the 4 seals are brand new. il change that one around anyway and make sure the rocker cover is tightened down fully on that side.

ha ya any ideas how il get this oil out...put something that will soak it up in there overnight ?

Kitchen roll and roll it up and prob about with it lol

My crx did the same the other day cleaned them up and it was okay then.
And thats #1 cylinder for future reference

i would be careful with kitchen roll incase a small bit comes off probably be better with something a bit more solid and that there isnt a chance of it falling off (staying whole) maybe an old pair of boxers lol ?

I had this problem two times with aftermarket seals.. solved the problem buying the OEM Honda ones

Toi much crankcase pressure could mess up those seals?

would it ya ?? it has 81.5mm pct pistons , il clean it up and get a new seal again anyway and keep an eye on it, if it keeps happening il have to sort the crankcase pressure. doubt there is much on my setup tho but never know
