Bank holiday next weekend so I might get a few hours of fabrication work on the inner sills and the floor, then 2 weeks after iv a week off work so might get a few more days at it. Hoping to get the inner rear arch repair done next month too

As ever, time hasn't been on my side. The week I had off both my parents ended up in hospital. Family before fun so onwards and upwards. Done some metal work to the inner left sill,no pics but will have some next week when I have it all shaped up.

Cylinder head is off now so I just have to strip it down to get it skimmed. Might do the valve guides myself, have all the tools to do it so anyone thats done it before please shoot me a pm

No surprises in the engine so far, good black carbon build up on the combustion chamber from burning oil. I think its all in the head but I'm getting the bore 0.5mm oversized with new pistons and rings anyway

Some other bits iv gathered over the last month.
NGK blue leads, Aerodynamics spoon style carbon fibre mirrors, hardrace front wishbone and anti roll bar bushes kit. Huge thanks to the lads in MCGAUTOSTYLING.COM for sorting these bits very quickly

Have Brembo pads for the front now and just waiting on the discs to arrive this week.
Spoon number plate and some spoon decals arrived too

2 steps forward and 1 step back this week.
Got some more bolts for the front from honda ,fast delivery as always. My brembo discs for the front finally showed up so that's some more parts off the list for underneath.

The joy of being in the motortrade?I can make up my own paint and paint my rocker cover y56. Put some effort into it,used very high quality clear and then funked the whole thing up by splashing carb cleaner onto it when I was cleaning the head and destroyed it so back to square 1

Cylinder head is off soon to be skimmed, new valve guides and recut valves and seats. Reason for a rebuild is that it burns oil like an angry Arab! Valve stem seals were gone hard and oval, valve guides were excessively worn aswell

Brought the head home with me to strip down

Intake valves weren't too dirty, as expected for a 166k kms engine

Exhaust on the other hand were badly covered in carbon. Took alot to clean them up and 2 on cylinder three were slightly bent. Not really sure how? Timing belt was dont at some stage and might have been a second attempt but no signs of piston contact. Im thinking carbon build up along with worn guides might have done it. 2 new valves from honda arriving tomorrow anyway
