What exactly does that metal maze looking thing in the oil pan do for the car? Doesn't it hinder VTEC?
 
oil pan baffles, to help keep oil at the pick up and prevent oil starvation on long high G corners. Tama's also looks to have flaps/hinges to further prevent that.

It helps to keep the oil at the oil inlet within the oil pan.
This helps prevent oil starvation in high G turns.
The "gates" are to better allow oil in, but not out the same direction it came in.

VTEC runs off the oil pressure, with no oil at the oil pump inlet means no oil pressure as well as possible damage to the engine.

I lost oil pressure at turn #2 at thunderhill raceway, long turn, without this installed, I never see a drop in oil pressure anymore. buttonwillow I lost oil pressure there too, which this resolved as well. So far Ive yet to loose oil pressure after install.

Yeah going up to RWD as is everyone else around me. Starting the learning all over again. :|
 
Clutch gave up 2nd session at Sonoma. But what a fun track! wow.

The LSD is perfect! I will never be without a plated diff again.
