A Civic

Its down to me not knowing how to clean a car properly, car parks and a friend with a chisel LOL

Yeah its frost white, it had the optional vti-s lips and bubble skirts which I stupidly sold, got the lip again but cant for the life of my find the skirts.

B series are great but I need more power now just because of all these financed cars around my area with turbos lol
Haha fortunately I'm ocd when it comes to cleaning my car so I'm keeping the paint up
Ahh damn, lucky to get the lip again not a lot of pre facelift stuff going about atm and as of yet I haven't seen any bubble skirts either
Haha I know exactly what you mean most people round here go for Euro cars with turbos but I'll be putting ITB's on and going all out, will try and get 250hp ish from a b18cr so I'll give them a run for their money! ;)

You doing internals I take it to get them sort of figures ?
250 in an EK will be a fun little car, I hope for that in the k20 if staying stock with bolt ons or 350-400 with the rotrex.

Time will tell what happens for me though.

Yes bud Would have to work on internals to get within the 250 range I should think, will have as much work done on the head and block as possible to make it smooth and reliable too.
K20 will easily get 250 close to 300 probably n/a, would like to see that with a Rotrex though

Always a matter of time unfortunately

250bhp on a B series is quite a mission. You need to invest loads of money to even get it close to 235bhp let alone 250bhp. Not saying impossible but some heavy work involved. Will be building my engine later on this year and would be exctatic if I manage to squeeze out 230bhp out of it but 225bhp would be more realistic.

Good luck getting to your target though ;)

It is a lot of work and will take a long time to fine tune everything and squeeze it all out still need to do some research but I'm confident I can get 250hp I would probably settle with anything over 240 if I'm honest.

But that being said 230 is more than enough for these cars so good luck to you on achieving your target too bud :)

Any solid plans for the build to achieve 250bhp? Head work, forged internals.......?

I was thinking of some port & polish headwork, uprated valve train, aggressive cams and Jenvey ITB's apart from the normal replacement parts needed for a build like all new pumps, gaskets, crank pulley, piston rings, valve guides etc...

Still undecided if to go for forged rods and high compression pistons or stay OEM and keep CTR pistons for higher compression but will most probably stay OEM bottom end.

Not gonna lie I haven't looked into everything as i was going to focus on the ride and stiffen everything up for the extra power but decided I'd get it over and done with this year haha

The formula is pretty much the same though but it'll be a little more aggressive, ITB's, the internals will be either JUN or TODA as they seem to offer a lot of aggressive high comp components, port & polish etc, anything and everything will be replaced to make it rev higher and smoother :nice: a proper tune will also play a big part in getting such a high figure

Once I have my hands on a motor I'll do my homework and see what I can do to get that 250 but I know it's achievable and that's all I need :)

Almost in

Pain in the ass

Had to bend the bracket for the brake lines, move the fuel filter bracket , lost a nut for the manifold so used a different one.

Need a barb fitting for the charcoal canister line

Need a longer coolant hose for the iacv , the one I had no longer reaches.

Even though I labeled the injector plugs , two appear wrong as they're too short to fit in the correct place lol.

Looking at my bay, I can't wait to get my own space to pull everything out and make it all nice.

Here in Danmark the record in a na 1.8 is 265hp so 250hp is realistic ☺ officourse i different on dynos how high/low they read. Nice build keep it going
Regards Carsten

Generic "**** off bush" picture .

Couldn't get the front off so will do that another day, same with the shifter bolts.
An impact gun needs to be purchased I think.

Another **** day of nothing coming off .

Got the top part of the drop link off, thought it weren't so bad, just a little bit of adjusting the exhaust to get it out.

Come to the bottom part to the lca and nothing, just stuck there and because of the stupid design on these drop links where you need to get mole grips on them to turn them out rather than a nut, made everything more difficult.

So thought, why not drop the actual lca since I need them off to adjust my height anyways, one came out fine, thought happy days, come to the others, NOTHING, broke one of my adapters too, so now I need to buy a hefty breaker bar but I'm not sure that will work either.

So no progress apart from swap some wheels over and sprayed some stone chip on the tow eye.

Starting to hate Honda's now, think I'll do some easy stuff tomorrow like the wide band , unless the bung is stuck in the manifold which I hope it's not and I'll make a start on putting my interior back together .

Now for a late lunch and a cup of tea to cheer me up haha.

170,082 ***** points if you read that little bitching rant.

Wide band plumbed in.

Oil pressure gauge will go in on the service.

Not much I can do right now without my breaker bar but that's not here yet because of the postman too busy eating chocolate eggs.

Guessing the post man finished their chocolate eggs.

my new best friend , sealey arrived

also the 3" piping came, as expected with parts from Hong Kong etc, it has little dents here and there but I doubt it'll effect performance as its not gone through to the inside also I'll be wrapping it in my gold heat reflective tape so it won't be seen.

Will have the 3" Blox V stack attached and I need to make a heat shield for it to keep intake temps down and power up.

if the weather weren't so **** I'd start attacking the front shifter bush but the weather is depressing today and very strong winds, last time I worked in strong wind the bonnet flipped up and landed on my head LOL.

COPIED STRAIGHT FROM CIVICLIFE.

May or may not make sense haha.

Still couldn't get the front shifter bush bolt out, it seems my exhaust is so tightly tucked in to prevent scraping it's blocked any sort of space to gain access. The only way I can see this coming off is removing the downpipe and then I'll have enough room to get my breaker bar on, I've already tried the two spanner technique and that almost rounded it because it jumped off.

so to make sure it wasn't a wasted day I changed the front arb bushes, I'm pretty certain you need load on the bushes when tightening them fully so I did something sketchy, loaded the wheels on my slips dropped the car and quickly climbed underneath and tightened them up, shitting myself was an understatement haha.

no pictures because I had no idea what to take pictures of, the old bushes had life in them but thought since I had the bushes why not just change them.

***** POINTS FOR ALL

Look

A picture

Final pieces to having the inlet manifold plumbed in.

Two more pictures

4 years plus

Still getting rid of old footage so bare with ladies and gents.

Stone chipped last years underseal just to top it up.

could be a cleaner finish if I took the lights off but I was too occupied with the rear suspension that day lol.

Going for a 3rd attempt on the rear drop links before I call it quits.

Finally got the camber arms on, set them to near as close as oem for now.

Drop links and toe arms were just problematic, no budge .

pics ...

yeah, meister R springs like to rot don't they.

Instagram picture . . .

Did the USDM sidelight mod

no pictures of it working because it's light out and it started raining when it was bumper less so rushed it all back together.

Ive realised it needs so far up front

A new bumper , this one fits terrible and isn't genuine and the paints terrible

New headlights , these have pealed somehow and ones got a broken bracket

A new slam panel as this ones rotting

this list is endless if I carry on around the car exterior wise, so I've hit that " why bother " moment again.
