According to specs and power.......

1) Nissan Z 3.5 L 315 hp
2) Honda NSX Type S 3.2 L 280 hp
3) Honda S2000 2.2 L 240 hp
4) Honda Type R FD2 2.0 L 225 hp
5) Honda Type R DC5 2.0 L 215 hp :angry:

the NSX had a tough time passing the Civic, if the FD2 had a few more hp (250hp) it would have won the race, considering the price of the NSX the CTR is the clear winner here when it comes to performance vs cost.
 
they fd2 look really good on the track considering they are a 4 door family car. away to see if my girl friend wants to have some kids i mite get one ha ha ha
 
thats not a civic type r, IIRC thats a modified 4 door civic, the current Civic Type R is only available in Europe and is a 2 door hatchback. currently in japan the only civic available is a 4 door sedan and its NOT a type r, that is a nice vid though...
 
i dunno, Fifth Gear did a test racing the UKDM CTR vs the JDM CTR which is a 4dr sedan, go look for it in youtube i have watched it weeks ago. i'll help you find it.

My mate Faz (FUNKYPOWER) has just placed an order for a FD2TR in Japan, he is getting it imported for his ''FAMILY CAR''.

correct me if im wrong but i read some where that the new Civic Type R that is coming out (or already out) in Japan is a 4 door. will send you the link if I find it somewhere.

And yes, the japanese do have a a 4 door civic type R. The FD2.

The EUDM/UKDM car your refering to is the the FN2. a watered down version.

Having had both DC5 and 350z i would imagine you would get similar laptimes between the FD2 and 350z with one beating the other depending on the track layout.

Blinx, there is a 4 door jdm civic type-r and pure to be call type r. They are even offer to my country (Malaysia) as fully import from Japan and its chassis code is FD2. Here is the link Honda Malaysia - Civic Type R - Introduction and the video Honda Malaysia
 
i see, thank you for correcting me everyone, my information was old, the last time i looked into the new CTR was when the Europe version was released and that time it was the only CTR and japan's version wasent released yet, some people were starting to think japan might not have a ctr!! im glad they got one, also at that time japan only had a 4door civic, im not sure if thats still true but i think it is...
 
I love how happy they are on the track, always laughing!

FD2 looks so capable, love it more each time i watch a video of it.

The mugen typr-RR might have had it @240 bhp!
 
i hvad been awaiting for this car for a long time, and it hasnt dissapointed... great performance, however, it looks biger everytime i see it... :p

i think its a bit rough as a family car... vry stiff ride when compared to all prev R models!

tho i would not complain :D
 
Damn that 4dr civic type r is really fast... the NSX only won coz it has more power on the straight....but on corners the civic's winning...nice video btw :nice:
 
Yea he said he is going to put some coilovers on it when it turns up, as it will be too hard.
