Hi everyone,

I'm going to need to buy some tyres soon and had planned to go for AD08r's,

However the ns2r's seem appealing, come in a choice of compound, and are a little cheaper,

Has anyone used both that can give any real comparisons?
For example,
wet grip?
dry grip?
warm up time?
how long the last before they go off/overheat?
tread wear/tyre life, de lamination issues?

They're going to be used on track but will also be covering a good bit of road mileage.

Thanks in advance

No one using the nankang NS2R's?

All civic cup cars use ns2r's, maybe you could ask the drivers what they think.
I'd recently read that, I really suspect that if its good enough to be picked to use for the civic cup then they'll be more than good enough for me.
At about £55 a tyre I think I may try them.

Im in the same situation, when i upgrade my tyres from parada spec 2's im either going for federal or nankang whichever comes up cheaper at the time. To be fair my spec 2's have done me really well, just coming to the end of their life and want to try something new.

I'm on AD08R at the minute, really good tyre for what they are in my opinion. Brilliant on road in the wet and dry, not bad on track either but don't offer the grip levels of a semi slick.

My mate who also runs a boosted Honda is on the Nankangs, from what he says they're fine on the road but on track they seem to go off after a handful of laps, this is most likely due to putting 500+ through the front wheels though lol.

And he drives like a ****....

I went from AD08's to NS2R's. On my third set now.
First thing noticed - way less sidewall flex, that alone was a massive improvement for me. The car always felt a bit wallowy on the yokos.
Dry grip is a slight improvement, can't comment on wet grip. Haven't managed to overheat them yet either, but I'll tend to do a max of 5-6 laps at a time. I get two trackdays out of a pair of fronts to give you an indication. No delamination to note!

Just to add, car gets very little road use - mainly track. I think I'll be trying some AR-1's next.

That's good news, thanks for that.
Are you using 120 or 180 compound?

I've ordered a set of 4 180's now, £53 each so quite a saving on ad08 prices
