webbie

just read the other thread below ....seems there not very good then

Standard cars there good with but as you say alot of people don't think they are when modding cars!

Had my policy immediately cancelled after I told Elephant (Sister company i believe) that I was converting to B18.

They really dont like mods!

Im with admiral, i have a multicar policy with My B18C6 EK4, 106 GTI, 106 Quicksilver, Ford Fiesta Zetec S. I pay £180 a month for all of them. The more cars you put on the cheaper it is.

I've Told them about all the mods on my honda, engine conversion, exhaust, intake, coilovers, wheels, brakes, rear seats removed, and insured with 2 seats.

To be fair they didn't seem to bothered about the mods, but then again the car is insured for 2000 miles a year.

Depends who ou talk I on the phone I suppose I'm with elephant and they are great and the cheapest

I'm with admiral at the moment; seem ok to me. Policy dropped £400 this year on renewal  :D

As above though, I've heard they are slightly apprehensive when it comes down to mods. Suits me on my daily though :p

I've been with them in the past and had nothing but trouble when it came to mods as they have a 6 mod limit.

Im also with admiral just now aswell, goin to be lookin to add more mods to my policy when renewal is up in may. What did you guys put on the policy for the lips? seems they have three possible options in my opinion...
1. body kit (non standard)
2. body kit (optional extra)
3. exterior decorative changes

all three I think could describe lips lol

went to sky insurance and im insured with Chausers (i think its spelt right) and they are really good with mods

Declaired my custom recaros, harnasses, carbon bonnet....£25 extra a year inc fee's :run:

Price is competative too :nice: Give sky insurance a call, they give you 20% club car discount through ek9.org too :nice:

Thanks, you'll be insured with Chaucer via our grey import scheme. Great company to be with, I have both of my policies with them as well on my modified/engine swapped cars.

Thanks for the kind feedback.

Our details are here (below) if anyone wants to have a look, keep your eyes peeled for our 2012 competition to win a fully paid drift day.

Car Club Insurance Scheme from Sky Insurance

no problem :nice:

Only bad thing is when you re-new (like i just did) it is 10 months installments instead of 12 and it cannot change......no biggy, would have prefered the 12 month option to keep cost down :p

All in all, great service :)

The service from Admiral isn't too bad, they seem to have 2 call centres, 1 in Cardiff and one in India so can be a bit of a pain trying to explain who the last person you spoke to was etc. But they are terrible for mods. I'm not allowed to change the standard seats in my EK4 which I ideally want to do for track days so I think I'll be looking for a quote from Sky before long

Admiral were good for my dc5, charged me £39 on top to insure alloys, suspension, header and catback
