Hi Guys, as I'm about to get my Advan RG's refurbed soon I thought i'd model them up in 3D so I could easily try different colours. All the other colours are rendering out at the moment (each one takes about 3 hours :nerv:).

Let me know what you think of the model so far :)

Thats a very cool 3D rendering, You're getting the new wheels powder-coated right?

Thanks dude. Not sure yet to be honest, was thinking of just going to get them sprayed then lacquered...

Here's two of my fave colours - Gunmetal & Champ White or Champ white and Red:

I'm leaning towards the champ white+red, but either one looks cool. Powdercoating is better for wheels because it's as durable as stock wheel finish. Do you have photoshop to see what they look like on your car?
 
I do indeed :), will get "easy to photoshop" pics of the car this weekend.

I'm prefering the gunmetal to be honest, but hey are a bit to dark in that render. Prefer it if the colour was a bit more like this:

the white looks amazing!! id go for them. Gunmetal also looks good thou
 
im all for the gunmetal think they will look awsume bud nice work. plus they will break the car up and give it a diferent colour to focus on rather than the car being all white
 
loving the work!

I like both the gunmetal and the white with red!

What software package is that?? I assume you have drawn that from scratch? Do think you could try that on an OEM wheel with different colour options?

Theres a few extra ones there, some with polished lips.
The wheel was modelled from scratch and then rendered in Cinema 4D. Modelling an OEM wheel would probably take a couple of days... :((
