Hi I bought a genuine honda aerial delete last month and never got round to fitting it, so today I took the 2 screws that hold the old cover/aerial in place and pulled out the connector part. I tried to pull the aerial part away from the cable but it didn't give. I didn't want to break anything so I left it for now.
Im thinking that I have to take out the head unit and disconnect the aerial and pull the cord through. Has anyone done it before that could confirm this please?
It's on a 1999 ej9 btw
Forgot to take pics aswell :/

The aerial is earthed via a tab and is pressed into the plastic cover where one of the mounting screws fit. You would need to remove the whole aerial unless you cut the tab off. Which I wouldn’t recommend doing.

Are you doing this just for looks?

Remove the whole aerial you'll need to disconnect it under the dash

I left my aerial underneath the new delete And I still get some radio stations with out the nasty looking aerial
