Andrews EK3 B16

Black door handles and strips look better on a grey car imo.
VSM ek9 lip might look cleaner though, but definately looks like a nice base to start with.

So big update, photos aren’t great.
Recently I crashed the blue preface lift ek3, which had loads of rust etc. So I told myself a re-shell was in order. I ideally wanted a ek9 shell but the cost was too much for me. So I went for facelift ej9.

This is where the work all started, wanted it all done in one Saturday. Things that needed doing:
Full front and rear brake swap, with MC.
Full engine swap
Coilovers
Steering rack, subframe, arbs
rear ASR brace
front and rear upper strut braces
interior swap: seats, carpet, air vents, ek9 cup holders

Everything got done in one day except the carpet and ek9 cup holders and rear brakes.

Unfortunately we got to the stage of plugging the ecu in but there was 4 plugs but we needed 3. After reading up, I realized I needed a facelift loom, so the next day I got someone about 15 miles away to drop me a obd2b loom, then I drove up to Birmingham from Milton Keynes in a mates car to get a obd2b to obd1 harness.

Then everything was sweet, but I broke down! About 150 meters from my house. Then with a bit of research we relised the alternator was wired in slightly wrong and within 15 minutes it was sorted.

Need to still do the rear brakes!

I have also sprayed the side mouldings silver.
I have also treated myself to a steering wheel with snap off boss, pics to follow :)
Also have got a jordan lip to spray and fit.

Question for anyone, fitting a aftermarket steering wheel and the boss uses a metal contact from the horn wire on the rear of it.(something you have to create) this in turn should make the horn sound when the horn button is pressed due to there being a wire inside the boss leading to the steering wheel horn buttons.

but when I touch the horn wire on the back of the boss, automatically the horn goes off. would this be due to a insufficient earth? really stuck. I need it to touch the rear of the boss without it going off until I hit the horn buttons.

Few bits have been happening, fancied some s2000 clocks. So went a head and went for the ap1 clocks and got the converter module and started the install.

I also went ahead and got a snap of steering wheel with boss. Steering wheel was a 330 momo, the snap of boss has a key system to remove it. Has no play/movement in it (not like the cheap ones) and is a great safety feature.

I also went and got a ek9 front lip, this was then color coded at my mates body shop. Preferred this over my mugen replica splitter.

Hope you enjoyed the photo’s.

As of the 7th of june, This will be for sale ☹
