anyone else used gear-x?

Iv just had a gear x 4.7 final drive fitted, im delighted with the diference, but iv got quite a loud whine now, im wondering is this normal since it stronger and intended for competition use

nothing to do with strength of the gear,if its straight cut itll be noisyer. i have a mfactory 4.9 and gives a small whine noise

ive got a straight cut dog box waiting to go in.

like the others said straight cut usually have a whine

The Gear-X 4.785's are semi-helical cut, so will give a little bit of whine.

Whine with straight cut gears is cool. My mfactory gears give out a small whine

why would you even bother all that money on a gear x 4.7.if it was me id try get a oem honda 4.7 out of a box for breaking or something "alot cheaper" and probably better quality too
